Greetings again,
I don't know if I have talked about this previously, but even if I have, I need to start writing again (because this girl right here had ambitions to finish a fanfic in March and start another and things have just not gone her way causing to spiral down a rabbit hole of writer's AND study block).
*Sighs* I will not make this long, so a mistake I made which I only noticed, TWO years (yeah two, fuck university) after I started a fic is that I skipped a chunk of world building.
So long story short, check your works again and aside from mystery or thriller (because those works have a different way of being written) if there is a work where a character has a back story or extravaganza that needs to be portrayed — then do appropriate world building please, don't skimp like me and regret later (although my mistake wasn't intentional)
