The day of their first major exams had arrived and Andrew and Clark were feeling the pressure. They had been studying hard for weeks and were determined to do well.
As they walked to their exams together, Clark couldn't help but tease Andrew. "Are you nervous, Andrew? Don't worry, I'm sure you'll do great. Just try not to kiss the exam paper, okay?"
Andrew rolled his eyes, but couldn't help but chuckle at Clark's antics. "Shut up, Clark. I'm trying to focus."
They arrived at their first exam, PMLS 1, and sat down nervously. The code of ethics of medical laboratory science was one of the highlights of the exam, and they had both spent countless hours memorizing it.
As they began the exam, they felt their nerves start to settle. They were well-prepared, and the questions were not as difficult as they had feared.
After they finished the exam, they walked out of the classroom feeling relieved. "That wasn't so bad," Clark said, grinning at Andrew. "I guess all that studying paid off."
Andrew smiled back, feeling a sense of pride in their hard work. "Yeah, we did pretty well. Now, on to the next one."
Their next exam was in anatomy and physiology, and this one made them both a bit more nervous. They were performing a laboratory exam on the microscope and had to identify all the different parts.
As they sat down to take the exam, they felt the pressure mounting. But then, they remembered their past successes and began to feel more confident.
The moving exam format had them a bit nervous, and it was intense, with only 30 seconds per item, but they managed to identify everything correctly.Their hands moved deftly over the microscope, identifying each part with ease, and correctly identifying each white blood cell they came across.
Finally, the exams were over, and Andrew and Clark stepped out of the exam room, feeling relieved and proud of themselves.
As they walked down the hallway, Andrew couldn't resist teasing Clark. "Hey, top-notcher. Don't get too full of yourself now."
Clark rolled his eyes, but a smile played at the corner of his lips. "Please, I'm always on top. You're lucky I let you keep up with me."
They both laughed, feeling a sense of camaraderie that had only grown stronger over the past few weeks.
As they parted ways to head back to their own apartments, Andrew felt a pang of sadness. He wanted to stay with Clark, to bask in the warmth of his company, but he knew that they had their own separate lives to attend to.
But as he walked back to his apartment, he couldn't help feeling grateful for the bond they had formed. He knew that Clark was someone special, and he was excited to see where their friendship would lead.
As the days went on, Andrew and Clark remained focused on their studies, but their friendship continued to grow stronger. They teased each other mercilessly, but they also supported each other through the tough times.
And through it all, the mutual feelings they shared only continued to deepen. But for now, they were content to be just friends, enjoying each other's company and the adventure that lay ahead.
