As Andrew jolted awake from his terrifying ordeal, his heart raced, and his body drenched in sweat. His mind still reeling from the vivid nightmare, he struggled to distinguish between reality and the lingering echoes of the dream. The remnants of fear lingered in his every breath as he sat up, his hands trembling.

Feeling the urgent need to ground himself in the present, Andrew reached for his phone and dialed Clark's number. He needed the reassurance of his boyfriend's voice to calm his racing thoughts.

"Hey, Andrew, what's up?" Clark answered, his voice filled with genuine concern.

"Clark... I had the most horrific nightmare," Andrew stammered, his words barely escaping his trembling lips. "It felt so real, like I was trapped with Jana... her eyes... her laugh... I can't shake off the fear."

Clark's tone softened. "I'm here for you, Andrew. Take a deep breath and remind yourself that it was just a dream. Dreams can be intense and disturbing, but they don't define reality."

Andrew tried to steady his breathing, following Clark's guidance. "You're right, Clark. It was just a dream. But it felt so vivid, so terrifying... I couldn't tell what was real and what wasn't."

Clark paused for a moment before responding, his voice gentle yet firm. "Dreams have a way of playing with our emotions, blurring the lines between reality and the subconscious. It's natural to feel shaken by them, but remember that you are safe now. We're here to support each other through anything."

Andrew felt a surge of gratitude for his boyfriend's comforting words. "Thank you, Clark. I needed to hear that. I'll try my best to shake off the fear and focus on the reality in front of me."

As Andrew ended the call, he took a deep breath, allowing the air to fill his lungs and expel the remnants of his nightmare. He looked around his room, the familiar surroundings gradually anchoring him in the present moment. The lingering unease began to dissipate, replaced by a sense of relief.

In that moment, Andrew realized that his experience, even if it was just a dream, offered a glimpse into the inner struggles that Jana had faced. It strengthened his resolve to advocate for mental health awareness and support those who might be silently battling their own demons.

With newfound determination, Andrew rose from his bed, ready to face the day ahead. He knew that while nightmares might haunt him from time to time, he had the strength and support to overcome them. And through his journey, he would ensure that Jana's memory would serve as a reminder of the importance of empathy, understanding, and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health.
