We Got Ourselves a Boomer

The Squad car roared along the roads of Holland Valley, tearing past cult roadblocks as Y/N made his way to the Pumpkin Farm.

The car came to a halt down the short road leading into the farm. Y/N pulled out his binoculars and scouted out the area, he looked at the cultists guarding a caged dog who Y/N guessed was Boomer.

"Huh." Y/N said to himself, it didn't seem like there were too many guards. "Should be easy."

Y/N climbed back into the car and turned the radio up before speeding into the farm, his left hand on the steering wheel and his right on his AK, as the cultists heard the engine roaring and the hymns blasting from the radio, they turned and saw Y/N steering the car straight for them, Boomer started barking, a cultist turned and looked at the dog for a minute.

"Shut the fuck up you stupid Mu-" Before the cultist could finish, the car had ramped and flew at him, wiping him out while Y/N tucked and rolled from the car, standing up and firing his AK in short bursts before drawing his revolver and blowing a hole into the head of an incoming cultist. He ducked behind cover to reload his rifle and then used his revolver to shoot the lock on boomers cage, freeing the dog and letting it loose on the cultists, he stepped out from behind cover and pushed up alongside the dog, moving from cover to cover while the dog rushed the peggies who were too focused on Y/N to bother shooting at Boomer.

Y/N waited until he heard a growl followed by a scream before stepping out from cover and sending a burst of bullets into the cultist that Boomer wasn't attacking, and then double tapping the cultist Boomer was holding. With the farm cleared Y/N walked up to Boomer, crouching down next to him and petting the dog.

"You're all right boy."

"Nice work freeing boomer deputy, that dog is as loyal as anything, and he can smell a peggy for miles, maybe you should take him out with you, good to have someone watching your back." Dutch said as Y/N nodded.

"I might just do that." Y/N said as he looked across the road at the small cult outpost and then to Boomer. "Boomer? Fancy helping me clear that place out?"

The dog let out an affirmative bark. Y/N nodded and gestured for the dog to follow him, together they crept across the to the tomato farm and Y/N scouted it out, he looked to Boomer.

"Keep that heavy busy." Y/N said as the dog nodded, rushing off at the heavy as Y/N threw a throwing knife into the alarm boxes and then rushed the heavy, sticking his revolver under the heavy troopers helmet and pulling the trigger.

As Y/N backed away from the dead cultist he holstered his revolver and drew his AK, Boomer pounced on a cultist and held them down as Y/N pushed through the outpost, reaching the dog and killing the cultist he was holding down, a shot rang out and the bullet grazed Y/N who turned and shot the last cultist, he looked at his leg, and used bandages to patch himself up before raising the American flag after taking the cult flag down. Another outpost was liberated by the resistance.

"Sin is pervasive it drives us to do unspeakable acts I know the feelings that drive you I know them intimately, but I can help you deputy I can wash away these sins I can cleanse your soul, it will be difficult and it will be painful but it will be worth it. My people will come for you they will bring you to me don't fight it because the harder you resist well...the harder we'll have to scrub your soul"

"It's gonna take more than a scrub, you're gonna need a chisel to clean my soul." Y/N said as he heard a laugh over the radio.

"I'm gonna enjoy this Deputy."

"I guarantee you won't by the end of it." Y/N said as he ended the call and received another call from Dutch.

"Holy shit kid, sound like you really pissed in John's cornflakes, he's gonna be sending his Chosen to try and get to ya, keep your head on a swivel." Dutch explained.

"Copy that, I'll keep 'em peeled sir." Y/N said as he walked over to his squad car and used a repair tool to fix it up before driving off, with Boomer in the seat.

"It's Deputy hunting season! Hit 'em with the bliss bullets, John wants 'em alive!" The chosen said over the radio as a bullet flew through the window and hit Y/N's shoulder, the bliss began taking effect and before long, Y/N was out cold...
