Faith in Humanity [Male Deputy reader x Faith Seed]

Falls End...

Y/N arrived on the outskirts of Falls End, he crawled through the grass with his Colt Python. He snuck up onto the roof of the town store, using the ladder to sneak up behind a cultist, drawing his knife from his boot and stabbing the cultist on the mounted 50.cal MG. He grabbed the cultist's assault rifle and used his binoculars to scout  the town out, looking at the cultists threatening and beating the hostages, he watched the cultists drag the Pastor Jerome Jeffries out of the church. Y/N readied his gun and switched his gun into semi auto.

Y/N aimed his gun at the cultist beating up a woman, he took aim and pointed his rifle at the cultist beating up the woman outside the Spread Eagle bar. He fired two bullets into the cultists head and then into the head of the cultist that was dragging the Pastor out of the church, slinging the assault rifle over his shoulder Y/N got onto the mounted MG and fired on three cultists that came rushing out of the garage, not noticing one had come out of the shop and was climbing up a ladder onto the roof.

"Deputy! Behind you!" The woman called out as Y/N turned, he was grabbed by a cultist who began dragging him to the edge of the building, Y/N looked at the drop and then the cultist before headbutting him and tackling him off the roof, using the cultist to take the impact of the fall. Rolling off the dead cultist, Y/N drew his assault rifle and double tapped the driver of an incoming cult truck, causing it to swerve violently into a house, Y/N walked towards the truck and shot the passenger before hot swapping to his revolver and shooting two more cultists in the head.

The woman and the Pastor armed themselves and began to help fight back. Trucks came each way from the main street with Y/N diving out of the way and shooting the passengers while the driver was killed by Pastor Jerome.

"Shit, chosen in the skies!" The Pastor called out as Y/N looked to the roof of the shop and climbed the ladder on the side of the building before mounting the 50.cal MG.

"He's coming in for a strafe!" The woman called out from cover as she let off controlled bursts at the incoming plane, Y/N done the same with the MG, sending five round bursts at the plane until eventually it began to spiral out of the sky and landed in a field. As Y/N slid down the ladder on the side of the store he  spotted two cultists arriving on a quad bike, he drew his rifle and fired the last four bullets in the magazine into them, killing the driver and the passenger as he discarded the empty rifle.

As the other residents of Falls End were cleaning up the bodies, Y/N walked with Pastor Jerome into the Spread Eagle bar.

"You did good work out there deputy-"

"A little help?" The woman said as Y/N and Jerome turned to look at her coming down the stairs carrying four boxes of belongings.

"You trying to break your neck?" Jerome scolded as the woman spoke.

"It seemed like a good idea at the time." She said as Y/N took two boxes off the pile and carried them over to the counter, setting them down as the pastor took a bottle of beer and handed it to Y/N who removed the cap. "Huh, it's you, guess with all you're doing we can add mover to your resume as well huh? Wait, Y/N?"

"Mary." Y/N said with a chuckle as Y/N embraced her.

"How's my little cousin doing? Last I heard you were abroad somewhere getting shot at."

"Well, I decided to change the scenery, though apparently not occupations." Y/N said as Mary smiled.

"Look Deputy, I'll let you two catch up, stop by my church when you're done, I have something that you're perfect for." Jerome said as he and Y/N shook hands, Y/N nodded as the pastor left.

"So, Mary, heard anything from my dad?" Y/N asked as she looked at him.

"Y/N, I'm sorry to have to tell you this, your pa died a few years ago, he was killed by the cult, they've turned your pa's farm into an outpost." Mary said as Y/N looked at her.

"Wha-What?"

"I'm sorry Y/N. John killed him." Mary said as Y/N looked at her. "And the Henbane, well that belongs to Faith."

"Rachel." Y/N said as Mary looked at him.

"Y/N, she's long gone, Rachels probably just a distant memory to her now." Mary said as Y/N sighed.

"I'm still gonna try and help her."

"I figured as soon as I realised it was you." Mary said as Y/N nodded.

"For now, I'm gonna go after John." Y/N answered as Mary nodded.

"All right, well, the pastor's matter is urgent, but when you're done with him, you come see me, I might know a good way to stick it to the peggies, and John in particular." Mary said as Y/N nodded. "Y/N...I'm sorry, about your pa...and about Rachel."

"Me to M.M, me too." Y/N said solemnly as Mary reached into the register on the bar and passed him some money.

"For saving our asses, buy yourself some ammo or guns from the shop across the street, you're gonna need it." She said as Y/N smirked.

"Thanks." Y/N said as he caught the money and left...
