"What are your intentions with my sister?" Argyle crossed his arms, his stare piercing through Eddie's soul.

Jonathan tsk slapping argyle shoulder, "not your sister dude, my sister."

Argyle laughed, "oh right...it slipped my mind man." He mocked with his hand a fake bird flying from his head. "What are your intentions his sister."

Eddie squinted barley able to make out their faces. The two boys had Eddie sitting in the middle of Jonathan's dark room with only his bright desk lamp glowing directly into his face like some cop show.

"To date her?" Eddie shrugged.

Argyle pressed his lips together humming thoughtfully. "I don't know Johnny boy, I don't trust him."

Eddie rolled his eyes pushing the light away, "could you not? I actually enjoy my eyesight." He huffed.

Jonathan shoved the light right back into place. "How far will you go to protect Maggie?"

"Are you willing to kill for her?" argyle added.

"Um...no...?" Eddie guessed not sure exactly what was the correct answer for them.

Jonathan and argyle stayed silent staring at one another for who knows how long. Finally Jonathan shrugged, "at least we know he's not a murderer." He said.

"Yeah man, welcome." Argyle announced flicking the light switch back on. "So what d'you wanna do?"

Eddie smiled nervously, "I think I'm gonna go find magnolia..." he said slowly standing from the beanbag chair.

"Oh c'mon man look," argyle held a black bag up and shook it. "We don't mind sharing..." he smiled.

Eddie let out a heavy sigh dropping his shoulders in the process. "Okay.." he grumbled. I could really use some right about now He thought.

Magnolia helped Joyce clean up the mess at the table wiping down any grime from earlier. "So mom..." magnolia began. "What do you think about Eddie?" She looked towards her fidgeting with her fingers.

"Well I think he's nice." She smiled, "a little too hyper than what I had expected for you but...if you like him then I do to."

Magnolia laughed "yeah..."

"But he's good for you, I can tell." Joyce said shutting the running water off from the sink and patting her hands dry. "I just don't want you or him to rush into anything...it's okay to take things slow."
