~Magnolia kicked the hard dirt around and watched as the dust slowly built up on her worn out shoes. Her younger brother Will ran around the yard popping the small bubbles that her older brother Jonathan would release.

She could feel the sun kissing her skin, she could hear the birds chirping in the wind and her brothers laughter echoing through the tall trees. She laughed along with them her stomach becoming sore.

Will ran in circles chasing the small bubble that refused to slow down, the wind had picked up only blowing the bubble faster. Will missed a step and fell onto his knee. Magnolia gasped and Jonathan ran to him.

Will had begun to cry, just low enough to not alert his father who was just inside. Jonathan held Will in his arms checking to make sure he hadn't cut himself. "it's okay." Jonathan whispered with a smile. "It's just dirt, see there's no cut." He said wiping away the hard dirt that stained Little Will's knees. Will sniffled wiping away the tear that had rolled down his cheek.

Through the midst of it all Magnolia grew suddenly aware of the muffled argument in the background slowly getting louder and louder. The warm summer breeze shifted into a strong wind that bit at Magnolia's skin. The clear blue sky turned into dark grayish shade as if a storm were just on its way. Magnolia looked to Jonathan and Will both seemingly oblivious to the sudden change in their surroundings.

"You can't just leave Lonnie, what about the kids?" She heard from behind her.

"What about the kids? They're just as ungrateful as you are." Her father yelled as he burst out the door with her mother following close behind.

Will and Jonathan stood from the ground dusting themselves off, both with pale faces and wide eyes.

"Lonnie get back here! I can't do this alone!" Joyce shouted, she seemed more angrier then sad. The wind picked up blowing her hair every which way.

Lonnie pulled open his car door throwing a black bag into the backseat. "I don't care figure it out! You think I want to be here when everyone always groups up against me? Huh?...When everyone here hates me!" He shouted back spit flying from his mouth.

Joyce chuckled in disbelief. "It's because you make everyone here hate you!" She aggressively stomped her foot. "Your a horrible person! And a horrible father!" Her voice was full of venom.

Lonnie clenched his fists, " I have been nothing but a good father I hav-"

"Oh you're a good father? Is this what a good father looks like! Abandoning your kids." Joyce yelled. In the midst of their argument Jonathan had dragged Will towards Magnolia urging them both behind him.
