(Y/N)'s POV
"Sweetie, come down here!" Rachel called out from downstairs, startling you awake. With a sigh, you got off your bed and went downstairs to your guardian.
They stood next to a large window, peering through the blinds.
"What did you need, Mom?" you asked after taking the final step down the carpeted stairs.
"(Y/N), I have been calling for you forever. Charlie's daughter is home." Rachel's eyes remained glued on his yard.
"What about her?" You ask as you walk over to where they were to take a look yourself.
In the front yard of the Swan's household was the same dark-haired man you knew as Charlie and a new girl that was pale and thin.
You were confident that nothing could hide from Rachel, always watching the neighborhood on the porch or talking to the neighbors about the latest gossip.
They glued themselves to the window when they heard Charlie's daughter moving in from Arizona.
Today is the day that madness would finally ensue. They turned to you with a smile on their face. "You will go over there and greet our new neighbor."
"What? Why do I have to do that?" You groaned.
"Because, (Y/N), all you do is stay in your room all the time. And you need to make friends for a change! So you will go out there and show that girl that we are nice people!" They grabbed you by the arm and pulled you to the front door.
"Alright, alright. I will go over there." You sighed in defeat.
Rachel opened the front door. "Good, now don't return until you have a friend!"
You shoved your hands in your pockets and trudged your way over to their house. You put on your best fake smile and got the girl's attention.
"Hello, I'm (Y/N), your neighbor to your left. What's your name?" You gestured to your house to the dark-haired teen.
"Oh, uh, I'm Bella." She brushed a hair behind her ear, "Nice to meet you." She held a cactus in her hands and a bag over her shoulder.
"Could I help you unpack?"
She stammered, but Charlie beat her to the punch, "Sure, the more, the merrier."
He picked up a duffle bag himself, "Pick up a box, and Bella will lead the way."
You did as you were told and followed Bella inside.
Bella's POV
We sat in my room, leisurely putting stuff in their respectful places. They were putting books on a little bookshelf on the wall.
We did some chatting while working, and I found out that we would be going to the same school. It's nice to know that I know two people at school.
It was endearing how they could go on long passionate rants about almost anything.
"Oh, I have this book." They said, holding up a slightly beaten-up book so I could see from where they were perched on my bed.
"Is it your favorite?"
"Are you kidding me?! This is my favorite book. I have probably read this book a thousand times." They said as they looked at the cover as if they were reliving happy memories.
'Sweet, they like books too.' I thought as I walked over to them and sat down on my bed with them.
"I have been meaning to reread the book. Do you want to talk about it?" I said as I gently took the book from their hands and put it on my bedstand.
