Otherworld | King Kais' Planet

"...The Planet...is destroyed..." King Kai stated with a hint of sadness behind his words that he tried to keep hidden from the others, to no avail.

"But Goku got out, right?" Yamcha questioned.

"It looks as if he didn't make it...This'll be hard to tell his son." King Kai remarked.

"Then let me," Yamcha started, walking toward King Kai. "Piccolo just placed his hand on your back, right?"

Planet Earth | The Plains Environment

"Bulma, can you hear me? It's me, Yamcha."

"Yamcha?" Bulma questioned, looking around. "Where are you?"

"I'm still dead, unfortunately. Through King Kai, I'm speaking to your mind."

"I see..." Bulma said, placing a hand on her face for a minute. "So, how are you doing?"

"Besides being dead? I'm fine. But that's not what I want to talk about; be strong...and politely break the news..."

Bulma looked at the sky, then the others. "What do you mean?"

Gohan walked over. "Is that King Kai?"

Bulma nodded.

"Frieza...was defeated by Goku. Or as we're referring to him now...the Super Saiyan."

"That's great news!" Bulma cheered. "Goku defeated Frieza as a Super Saiyan!"

'He...He actually...'  Vegeta merely thought, staring at her. "Our Revenge..." Vegeta clenched his fists.

Raditz noticed this, deciding to focus on the more important matters. "And? What happened to Kakarot?"

"Wait, that's not all! As Goku tried to leave Planet Namek...he was caught in an explosion. It's out of his jurisdiction...so it's hard to tell, but we believe him to be dead."

"HE'S DEAD?!" Bulma shouted. "That's awful...!!"

Gohan let a tear fall from his eye. "He didn't...make it?"

Vegeta spoke up. "It's no wonder...he died as he lived...a Saiyan Warrior."

Piccolo shook his head. "Regardless, now that we know the Dragon Balls can bring back people who have died numerous times, his death means nothing. I'm sure he doesn't mind waiting in the otherworld until his return."

Raditz let out a sigh. "Cold, but true."

Bulma relayed the information.

"R-Really?! Those Dragon Balls can revive people who've died before?! That's amazing!"

King Kai decided to interject. "The Dragon Balls bring people back to where they died or where their body last was. Chiaotzu will return here, but Goku and Krillin have no place to return to. They die again--and it's beyond my Jurisdiction so I can't do anything."

"...What.." Bulma said. Trying to figure out how to relay this, she did it the best way she knew how. "Frankly speaking you guys...Goku and Krillin can't come back."

"What?" Piccolo questioned.

"And why not?" Raditz retorted. "Do your Dragon Balls have any MORE rules I'm unaware of?"
