Years before the start of a story we would all come to know and love, there existed a Saiyan who could come to be known in a legend. A legendary tale that is so extraordinary it would be recalled for decades to come in some shape or form. But first, we must uncover his secrets to progress any further. We must...establish a timeline.
Deep within Space, we find a large Planet with similar colors to Planet Earth resting peacefully. Near this planet lies two celestial bodies, both producing enough light to light up the Planet when needed and acting as a Moon that can go through the celestial stages. This planet was known as Planet Vegeta.

However, this peaceful Planet wasn't going to stay so for long, as an unattended child was screaming and crying. The baby continued crying out and like all members of the species of Planet Vegeta, it was destined for combat. However, not in the way, most other members of this species were. The Species were known as Saiyans, a group of warriors who liked combat. This baby would come to be known as Son Goku, or Kakarot in others' eyes. However, this specific story is not about Goku. This story is about his father, and what would end up becoming a burden on the boy. His father, Bardock.
Elsewhere in the Universe, on a Planet named Kanassa, we find several Saiyans roaring loudly. It was pitch black, no doubt nighttime, though some light gleamed in the sky from a Full Moon. The Saiyans looked like Monkeys, and they were in combat with another species. A race of Kanassans. The Kanassans unleashed attacks on the mighty apes that had no actual effect on them. Several of the apes unleashed mighty beams from their mouths that ended up completely vaporizing entire cities and hundreds of people. By morning, the entire planet had fallen and there were seemingly no survivors.
One Saiyan had gained a scar on the side of his face during the attack, and that Saiyan was the one who would become a hero. His name? Bardock.
Bardock bore a striking resemblance to Goku, being a tall man of muscular build with black hair. His hair was unkempt with three bangs hanging to the right of his forehead and two hanging to the left. His hair also stood up in the front with five spikes and four in the back. Unlike his son, he has a tanner skin tone and his eyes are more defined and sterner, much like his eldest son, Raditz. His most distinctive trait is the long, thick rough scar running down his left cheek. Like most Universe 7 Saiyans, he has a long prehensile tail with brown fur which is generally kept secure around his waist akin to a belt. He's currently wearing a dark blue and green-colored Battle Armor, dark blue combat pants, long red armbands with matching leg warmers, a green Scouter on his left eye, and black and green boots.
"What a party," Bardock stated, brushing his hand through his hair as he looked down at his face through a broken glass window, spotting a cut on his cheek. "But damn! They got my face good."
