Planet Earth

Chi-Chi changes the flowers in the vase next to Goku's bed as she let off a sigh. "I wonder how Gohan is...? It's been...almost over a month now since he's left Earth."

Goku decides to try and sneak out while Chi-Chi is changing the flowers in the vase, making it out the door. "Good...now I just have to get out of the hospital!"

Much to the chagrin of the doctors and nurses, they were next to Goku with a needle in hand. "You can't leave yet, Mister Son Goku!"

Goku reels back in fear, falling against the ground, groaning in pain. "K-Keep that needle away from me!" Goku shouted.

Chi-Chi quickly spun around, putting Goku back in the bed and slapping him. "Stay in the bed, you foolish man-child! You won't get any stronger if you aren't healed up properly! I'll even train with you if it'll keep you well behaved! We can do that image training or whatever!"

Goku's eyes widened. "Woah! Chi-Chi?! Do you mean it?!" Goku stated, staring at her. "You can't take it back once you say it, ya know!"

Chi-Chi rolled her eyes. "Yes yes, whatever. Let's just do it already. I'll do it once every couple of hours. Besides, it'll be a good way to brush up on my skills after all."

Goku nodded. "By the way Chi-Chi, you never actually explained to me why you stopped fighting. Isn't it what led you to me?"

Chi-Chi sat down on the bed beside her husband, giving a small nod. "Yeah, I was attracted to you because of fighting. However, then we had Gohan. I did a bit of training before that, but then the whole Garlic Junior situation happened. I don't know exactly, but... something just clicked afterward. I didn't want to fight anymore. And I didn't want Gohan to fight either. I mean, it's death matches whenever someone fights with you guys!" Chi-Chi gave a small laugh, though she was voicing motherly concerns.

Goku pondered this for a moment, nodding. "Ah. It makes sense why you're so against Gohan's training now. We do tend to get in a lot of life-or-death battles. But still, Gohan should grow up doing stuff we do. He has to learn how to defend himself in the event I'm not around anymore. He has to be able to protect the planet, our friends....and you, Chi-Chi." Goku raised his hand slightly, moving it toward Chi-Chi. "And Martial Arts training would do wonders for you even if it isn't often. You can train with Gohan if I'm ever not around, or with us once this whole Namek journey is over."

Chi-Chi sighed but nodded. Her husband was right, in a way. He needed to know how to fight, especially since he was the child of the World's Strongest Saiyan. "I suppose you're right, Goku." Chi-Chi grabbed Goku's hand, tightening her grip slightly as she kissed it. "But, you know, then the Saiyan Situation happened. I genuinely feared for my child's life. And you were nowhere in sight. I thought he was going to die until your brother and Piccolo saved him. I just...don't want to lose my only child. You've died now, and I've dealt with that. But I don't know if I could live with my poor innocent boy, Gohan, dying."

Goku gave a small smile, listening to Chi-Chi's worries. He rarely talked like this, but when he did, it usually let him convince Chi-Chi of anything. "Chi-Chi, we just have to cross that bridge if we get there. We have Dragon Balls, and we know there's another planet that can revive us if this world loses them again. We can always revive Gohan. As for Gohan still being alive, I think that's another big reason why Gohan should continue learning to fight. I'm grateful that Piccolo and Raditz were there to try and save him. They even succeeded. But Gohan needs to stand on his two feet. He has to become the man I think he can be. He has the potential to be...even stronger than me. To be the one who can protect us always and forever."
