Chapter Seven

Variana was done listening and stared at the window of the classroom that over looked the school grounds.

Gondel was writing notes down about what the teacher had said and was too busy to pay attention to the next thing that happened.

The window unlocked and creaked open, knocking over a vase above Gondels head. Everything happened to fast but not for Variana. She casted a Dark spell on the vase to fly across the room and smash into a wall breaking into tiny pieces.

Everyone, saw what happened.

Variana gets out of her seat and runs out of the classroom.

Bumping into other students and saying excuse me a million times, she heads for her dorm room.

Once inside she grabs a back pack and starts openning every drawer, taking out her belongings and stuffing them inside the back pack.

She gets out of her school uniform and puts on a black jacket, blue skinny jeans and her black converse.

A hard knock on the door made Variana jump. She quickly zips up her back pack and puts her arms through the shoulder straps. Variana blows the candles fire out with a fast motion using her hands and runs out of the room pushing the person who was in her way.

"Vari! Come back!" The person yells behind her.

She turns around and sees it's Dean. "What?!" She groans.

"I saw what you did."

"EVERYONE saw what I did!" She yelled.

He grabs her shoulder trying to stop her but she pushes him away.

"What has gotten into you?" Dean asked trying to keep up with Varianas pace.

"Confusion, anger-" she stops talking when she spots Gondel with a group of people surrounding him, asking him questions about Variana.

"Variana!" Gondel called out from the crowd.

She rolled her eyes and turned right down another hallway.

Gondel escaped from the crowd that was harrassing him and caught up with Variana and Dean.

"Dude, what's going on?" Dean asked Gondel.

Gondel stares at Varianas back, she was moving way faster than them so he had to make her stop. Dean and Gondel whisper a plan.

They both grab Varianas arms and drag her to the janitors closet.

She struggles to be free but the guys hands tightened there grip.

Once inside the closet, Gondel slams the door and locks it while Dean was still holding onto her.

"Let me go!" She shouted.

"And where did you think you were going? Back home? The school gaurds know where you live and will take you to prison for knowing Dark Casting." Gondel said.

"Wait, she knows Dark Casting?!" Dean questioned.

"NOT NOW DEAN!" Variana and Gondel yelled.

She looks at Gondel with a dirty look, "I'm getting out of here. To the forest that seperates the Dark and Light world. Maybe I can buy myself even more time... to figure out what side to choose..."

"Variana, not many people get confused about what they want-" Gondel stops speaking and has a puzzled look.

"What?" Variana asks.

"Nothing." Gondel sighs, "I'll go to the forest with you..."

"And me too!" Dean happily exclaims.

Both Variana and Gondel look at each other... Deciding if they should bring Dean along. They nod. A big smile grows on Deans face.

When they exit the closet, gaurds await in the hallway... Surrounding them.
