Noah woke up to the sound of knocking on his door. He glanced at the digital alarm clock on his table to see that it was already like eight in the morning.

Who could be on his door this early?

Drowsily, Noah hobbled over towards his apartment door and opened it. He was met with Myung, who looked surprisingly cheery.

"Morning, neighbor." Myung greeted. "Are you up?"

"Well, I am now." Noah yawned. "Can I help you with anything?"

"I heard you got into some trouble last night." Myung said. "Are you okay?"

"Hm?" Noah said. "Oh. It was just a little scuffle. I'm fine."

"Calling it little is an understatement." A voice said behind Myung from the stairs. Noah looked over to see Serin standing at the stairs, munching some dried seaweed. "Kristina nearly called the cops."

"I thought you said that was a bluff." Noah said.

"It was, but she would've definitely called if the guy didn't leave." Serin shrugged. "Morning, Myung."

"Good morning." Myung flashed a wide smile.

"You two know each other?" Noah asked.

"Are you kidding me? Myung knows almost everyone in this building." Serin said as he made his way down the stairs. "She's friendly that way. See you later."

"Bye!" Myung waved at Serin as he went down. "Kristina called the cops?"

"Almost." Noah said.

"Well, maybe you can tell me about it over breakfast." Myung said. "I know a pretty good diner a few blocks away from here."

Noah figured, why not? It's not as if he had anything to do this morning. He'd finished unpacking anyway. "Sure. Let me wash my face first."

Myung looked happy. "I'll meet you downstairs."

Line Break

Noah got dressed and got ready. When he went down the stairs, a guy was talking to Myung. He was tall and tanned. One thing Noah could use to describe him was sleazy. He's the kind of person that Noah wouldn't want to trust with his wallet.

Myung looked nervous talking to him. The guy seems to be pressuring her for something and Myung was arguing back, but it was clear that she was losing her nerve.

Noah decided to step in.

"Hey there." Noah said with a smile. "I'm ready."

"N-Noah." Myung muttered. The expression on her face was evident. Her eyes conveyed the message clear as day.

Help me.

"Can I help you sir?" Noah said to the guy.

"Buzz off, kid." The guy growled.

"Uh huh. You're talking to my friend there and we were on our way out together." Noah said as he stepped closer to the sleazy guy. "So if you don't mind."

"Oh yeah?" The guy snarled as he turned towards Noah. "And what are you going to do about it?"

"Wanna fuck around and find out?" Noah countered with a steely expression. The two locked eyes with intensity for a while before the guy grunted and walked away. Noah let out a sigh of relief. "Glad that's over with."

"Sorry for dragging you into that." Myung said.

"It's nothing." Noah said. "Shall we?" Noah said. Myung nodded as the two walked towards the diner.
