TAHIRI POV
Some days later...
This morning I decided to eat breakfast with Cho-Hee. This was the first week she'd returned to work since the whole fiasco with him who shall not be named. Since she didn't have to go in super early today like she normally did we decided on this breakfast cafe near the palace called Onion Anguk. They mostly have desserts, but they were still really good. I was craving sweet stuff right now anyway. Plus I haven't seen the palace in a long time, so it was just nice to be around the area. I hadn't dressed up in Hanbok in a long time, maybe I could do that someday soon.
I looked around and took in the views of my culture and smiled. It's so refreshing to see versus being in North America. While that was part of my heritage too, I reveled in the fact that I got to experience this side of my culture. It was and always would be beautiful to me.
"How's work going for you?" I asked while sipping my iced latte.
"It's been okay since I've been back. The staring finally stopped thank the heavens." She groaned and I laughed.
"That's good. So, tell me how you and Tae are doing. I saw the kiss while we were playing laser tag." I smirked when her eyes, wide in shock, flew to my face.
"Um...We're fine? We agreed to take it as slow as I want right now. God, I can't believe I kissed Kim Taehyung!" Her hands shot to her lips while her face and ears burned red.
"Kim Taehyung is a thorough gentleman." I cackled as she fanned her face.
"He really is. I've admired him from afar as a fan for a long time. But to now actually, be his friend? Almost girlfriend in a sense, it's bewildering. Thank you so much for this experience. Without you and Jin's mishap, we'd never have gotten this chance." Cho-hee sent finger hearts and air kisses my way. I could only chuckle.
"I'm glad you're taking everything well." I smiled. As I was about to say something else, my phone rang. I dug it out of my purse and cheesed when I saw that it was my man FaceTiming me.
Quickly answering before he hung up, I greeted him. "Good morning handsome,"
"Good morning beautiful. What are you doing? You look like you're out."
"I'm having breakfast with Cho-Hee right now. What's up?" I asked with my brow raised.
"Hello, Cho-Hee!" He called out and I flipped the phone so she could see him. She waved and spoke before turning her attention back to her plate. I switched the view back on me.
"Babe, are you free this afternoon?" Jin inquired with a goofy grin on his face.
I batted my eyes before I nodded. "I am why, what's up?"
"I'm off today. Do you want to go on a date with me?"
I raised my brow. "In broad daylight? That's kind of risky, don't you think Jin?"
Hunching his shoulders he chuckled. "It's not like I want to hide you anyway. But I promise you, we'll be careful."
Blushing at his words, I nodded. "If you're okay with it, then that's fine. But don't pick a location that has too many people oppa. The last thing I need is for you and me to be caught in a scandal. ARMY is NOT gonna terrorize me."
I shuddered at that thought. Although I was ARMY, I belonged to the faction that wasn't crazy as hell. I knew how to separate my obsessions and live in reality. But my current reality is that I'm dating Kim Seokjin. There are fans who actually want to date him. The possessive and overly aggressive behavior that some ARMYs have with the band members can be sickening and scary.
