"Shit!" I looked at my watch and cursed under my breath as I sat in the back of the taxi. I woke late from my nap. My dream has me confused so I woke up looking stupid. When I checked the time it was 12:50PM. I hopped up so quick I was dizzy.

I quickly washed my face, brushed my teeth and threw on my clothes. I decided to go with a simple soft pink cropped hoodie, a pair of distressed jeans. I picked out my hot and soft pink, tan, and navy blue Gucci Sneakers, and tan Gucci socks. I accessorized it with my chained strapped Gucci clutch purse. A yellow-gold wristwatch, and a necklace that had Tahiri spelled on it. I went for simple and cute.

I went with a light natural look for my makeup. While I was unwrapping my hair, I called for a taxi so I could get to my dad's office. I had not seen his office space since he'd gone into business for himself. He was now a CEO of his own company and I was happy for him. I did know that his company was in a big ass building downtown. That he owned by the way.

I grabbed my phone and room keycard and ran out like someone had lit a fire under my ass. I was on the elevator when the driver called and told me he'd arrived. Luckily, no one else needed to get downstairs so I reached the lobby pretty quick. I slid in the car and we were on our way to the address my mom had given me as his office.

I was grateful the traffic wasn't super awful around the area so we reached his office in a decent amount of time.

"Thank you!" I told the driver after paying him and climbing out the back seat.

I walked inside the building and looked around in amazement. This had to be something my father had worked on. It had his name written all over it. I could feel stairs on me. I was used to that by now, so I didn't care.

I went over to the security desk. My mom did tell me this place didn't play about that. She said it was tighter than a black grandmother's lip saying "Put it back!" in the grocery store. I thought that shit was funny. Especially because my granny had done and said that to me plenty of times when I was little. I knew exactly how tight security was.

"How may I help you?" I was greeted by a female security worker who looked me up and down. She looked at me with contempt on her face.

I slightly frowned at her. "Can I get a pass to go up to meet with CEO Dal-Gi?" I asked politely.

"Do you have an appointment?" Her eyebrows raised.

I shook my head. "No, I'-," before I could even finish my sentence to tell her who I was, the trick cut me off. 'Rude ass bitch' I huffed silently to myself.

"CEO Dal-Gi is a very busy man. He doesn't see just anyone. If you don't have an appointment you can't go up." She smirked with satisfaction, like she'd done something.

I raised my brow and was about to shut her down so quick. Before I could open my mouth, I heard my dad's boisterous laughter. I smiled and winked at her, "A pass won't be necessary anymore. Thank you." I said and she looked at me confused.
