kiri's eyes fluttered open as she heard a voice call her name. "kiri! are you alright?" spider shouted, hopping down a rocky hill. kiri looked around, confused. atokirina's were floating around her.

"i'm fine.." kiri spoke, "what happened? is dad calling me?" kiri added, spider shook his head as a response. "i got worried, you were gone for a few hours." spider shrugged, he looked down at his shoulder.

as a single atokirina landed, spider quickly swatted it away. "hey stop that!" kiri yelled, grabbing spider's wrist. another one landed on his leg, kiri looked at spider, waiting for his reaction.

he swatted it away again.

"what did i just say?" kiri hissed, gripping his wrist. "okay okay!" spider laughed, kiri covered her mouth, trying to stop her giggles, an awkward silence filled the air, as kiri continued to watch the atokirina.

kiri looked back at spider, only to find him staring. "spider!" their eye contact was interrupted by tuk, "spider! lo'ak wants to-.." tuk stopped in the middle of her sentence, "ooh, are you guys on a date?"

tuk giggled, "tuk!" kiri hissed, "um, what did lo'ak want?" spider asks, not wanting to hear anymore teasing. "lo'ak wanted to show you something, he's over there!" tuk spoke, "alright, tell him i'll be right there."

said spider, standing up. tuk nodded and ran off, kiri rolled her eyes as the word 'date' echoed in her mind, "hey kiri." spider spoke, "hm?" kiri questions, looking up at him. "you owe me, alright?"

spider joked, "yeah yeah." kiri spoke, playfully rolling her eyes. spider nodded and ran off, looking for lo'ak and tuk. kiri's mind wandered, would there ever be a time where spider needed to be found? where he would depend on her?

"kiri.."

"kiri..!"

"KIRI!"

"huh? what?" kiri spoke, snapping out of her daydream. "you were lost in thought again." said neteyam, kiri slowly nodded. her eyes fell upon the crashing waves infront of her.

three months, that's how long they had been there, everyone else seemed to be getting comfortable but kiri? still felt like she didn't belong, " what's bothering you, sis?" neteyam asks, sitting beside her.

after a few seconds of silence, kiri responded. "i feel guilty." kiri mumbled, neteyam instantly knew what kiri was trying to say. neteyam slowly nodded before glancing at her, "spider?"

kiri nodded as a response, neteyam let out a sigh. "i know your worried, but he has a strong heart. he will survive." neteyam assured, kiri smiled. though deep down, guilt was still eating away at her.

"now come on, it's getting dark." neteyam spoke, kiri nodded. patting down her outfit, sanding crumbling down. kiri looked around, some metkayina's were still out, including tsireya and ao'nung.

after a few minutes, the siblings finally arrived in the marui pod. tuk was playing with an ilu toy, jake and neytiri were giggling like teenagers and lo'ak was busy eating. neytiri looked up, "ma ite, where have you been?" neytiri asks.

"i was out." kiri shrugged, with her vague response. neytiri nodded, unsatisfied. "why is it when kiri is out at dark it's fine but when i'm out it's the end of the world?" lo'ak asks.

"because you're probably causing trouble." jake joked, atleast, lo'ak thought he was. kiri sat down infront of the fire, neytiri gave jake a look. jake nodded and sat beside kiri, "somethin' the matter?"

kiri shook her head, "i'm fine, i've just been thinking." kiri whispers, "thinking about what?" jake asks, 'dad will not let this go.' kiri thought, "about.. how we abandoned spider.." kiri mutters, lo'ak looked at kiri.

lo'ak tried to move on, but those words brought back the guilt he felt. "baby girl, i'm sure spiders-.." jake was suddenly interrupted by neytiri. "that sky demon is with his own kind now." neytiri growled.

"neytiri.."

"do not-"

"he's different, mom!" kiri hissed, standing up. "kiri-" neteyam spoke, trying to calm her down. but kiri swatted his hand away. "how is he any different from dad? dad came here but spider grew up here!"

"that is enough kiri!" neytiri shouted, "kiri's right, spider wouldn't betray us!" lo'ak yelled, "sit down." jake warned, but lo'ak stood his ground. "skxawngs, mom and dad are right. we can't do anything about spider."

"yeah, because we didn't even try!" lo'ak spat, "we left without looking for him, he's our family too!" kiri yelled, "he is not! he is the son of that demon! and he will turn out the same!" neytiri hissed.

kiri looked up at her mother, who had furious expression on her face. "we are not looking for that son of demon again, that is final." neytiri growled, kiri huffed, sitting at a far corner. lo'ak glanced at neteyam before sitting next to kiri.

neytiri glared at jake before sitting back down, neteyam and jake share a look. neteyam sighs and goes to comfort tuk, since she had been silent and jake went to comfort neytiri.

the sully's assumed everything would go back to normal, that this will go away tomorrow. but it didn't.
