-You gotta help me, I'm losing my mind.

THIS is the retelling of the tale of enmity between two families. The Foxs and the Scotts are neighbours, competitors but highest of all sworn enemies. It was said the animosity came to be as a result of the grandparents who coached two rival football teams.

Even though the birth of their second and third child was on the same day, the Foxs won the birth race as Sebastian Fox, the son of Khari and Willow Fox, a gifted athlete was born.

Hours later was the delivery of Elliot Scott, son of Kade and Ruby Scott, a socialite and intelligent he was.

The boys never came across each other until their prep school days, just like their parents and grandparents they soon grew hostile to each other, their feud was well known by their classmates and teachers who prevented them from being in groups together.

They competed over the slightest of things, cried when one won the other and fought for the one with the most friends.

Reasonably still in high school, they nevertheless couldn't stand each other. Though they avoided paths when they did, it was a game of hisses and avoidance.

They've moved from rivalling for the same things to competing and being interested in different fields.

However, the year was 2015 when this all changed. That year truly showed the thin line between love and hate.

2015.

Willow called out, "Sebastian?"

He raised his head to the call of his mother.

"Don't keep your father waiting," She reminded.

He blinked in surprise, dashing out the door. He joined his father in his car. They saw Kade and Elliot coming out their main door. They unconsciously shared snickers, and Khari felt a sense of pride.

The Scotts got into their car, and Kane pulled out of the driveway. He grumbled at Khari and his son being the first people he'd seen this morning, Elliot bit back a laugh.

Walking into the school, He caught a glimpse of Sebastian walking straight ahead to a group of boys, they were his so-called friends. Elliot glowered as he went by his locker.

"Hey Elliot," A blonde girl greeted walking past him.

He beamed. "Hey, Sofi." He went on, "Have you seen Mindy though?"

Sofia shrugged, "She came in with Trey, I guess."

Elliot nodded, he closed his locker and he waved her out. "I'll catch you later."

"Listen up," Coach Jones gained the attention of the boys by continuously hitting on the whiteboard.

Holding their gaze, he went on. "Now we've had a pretty good run this season but it's far from over."

He made a circle with his fingers, "We nearly blew it at our last game, but thanks to collective team effort we made it. Our next game is with Sandalwood High, one of the toughest teams in the league. If we win this we get closer to the semifinals."

He stepped forward, "I trust in you all. Training is gonna be longer and more intense but I know you can pull it through okay, we are giants!"

The boys sound a thunderous clap.

"Giants!"

"Let's go Giants!!"

Coach Jones gleamed, "Now that's the spirit boys," He waved his hands to stop the chants, "That's alright, go freshen up practice is over for today."

The boys moved to the showers, They pulled out a change of clothing from their lockers. Sebastian changes into a clean outfit. He and his friends go out with their sweatbags swung over their shoulders.

Trey halted. He widened his eyes and he hissed. "Mindy, what are you doing with him?"

The boys' attention turns to Mindy. It was Elliot, Mindy and another guy. They were playful, Elliot's playful smile curled into a frown.

Trey hurried to Mindy, he yanked his sister by the arm. In disgust, he faced an amused Elliot. "Stay away from my sister dude, she's not one of your girlfriends."

Unappeased with her brother's behaviour, Mindy rolled her eyes. The other guy with them stepped forward, he was on guard.

Sebastian moved backwards and stood absent-minded. He didn't want to be involved with anything about Elliot.

Having the heat off him for a while as Trey argued with his sister, Elliot looked at the rest of the boys who stood far off. What catches his attention is an absent-minded Sebastian who looks like he'd rather be anywhere but here.

Trey jerked away from Mindy, his face was hot as he cursed. He returned to his friends and then left. Mindy shook her head, "See what I mean when I say he's a drama queen."

"I see what you mean," Elliot said with a twisted smile.

Sam sighed softly, "I thought that was gonna go south."

Elliot and Mindy cracked up.

"Bruh, just because you don't agree with what I say doesn't mean I'd shut up," Trey said seriously.

Sean kept his expression bland, "Nothing you say doesn't make sense man."

Sebastian watched the scene in front of him. Trey looked like he'd been violated, and Sean was stabbing his fork into his food.

Sebastian spoke finally, "Okay, this is stupid."

Trey hissed, the condescending look Sean gave was pissing him off. "No, what's stupid is Sean's incessant worries,"

He went on, "He acts like he freaking knows everything, constantly belittling other people. That's not cool dude."

Sean made a face, he laughed jestingly. "Look who's talking, pipe down Trey. Why don't you head home and take a nap, your brain fluids need a refill."

Trey stood up, "Fucking idiot," He muttered as he kicked his chair and exited the room. Sebastian calls after him, but Sean holds him back from going to Trey.

He snorted, "Let the fairy princess go."

Sebastian said seriously, "Cut that out, it's stupid."

Sean shrugged, "He asked for it, he came for me." He points to himself, "I wasn't just going to leave him hanging."

Sebastian was irritated, "What he said was his opinion, you ought to respect it."

"Whatever," Sean said dispiritedly.

Sebastian goes looking for Trey, unable to find him. He guessed he had gone home.
