After a long, tiring day of school, Liam was glad the bell rang for dismissal. After staying with Jacob for the first bell, he had to leave before his school called his dad about his disappearance.

Jacob had invited him over to his house whenever he felt like he needed a warm hug or just to hang out.

The classroom was empty when Liam finally left, realizing how slow he had been to pack up. He grabbed his bag and phone, leaving the classroom towards the front doors.

Liam could only hope he didn't run into Bella again as she had been the entire reason Liam's day had been long and exhausting. She didn't seem like she could get the hint that Liam didn't want to talk to her or be near her in that matter, and if she did, she obviously didn't care.

Liam quickly stopped at his locker, dropping off the books that weighed down his bag before he had to head home.

In all honesty, Liam was trying his best to stall before he had to go home. There were multiple different reasons Liam barely stayed at his house. Yes, one of the reasons was because his parents were never home, but that was one of the smaller reasons. Liam's parents have never really been great parents to him. When he was younger, he had babysitter after babysitter and none of them seemed to stay for very long.

So when Liam was offered to stay at the Cullen's house, he was very happy he could finally get out of his home.

"LIAM!" A voice yelled down the hallway, breaking Liam out of his thoughts.

Liam turned his head toward the sound and saw Alice bounding down the hallway.

"Hey! I was just looking for you! I think we need to go on a shopping trip and get you some new clothes! The boys are going to love it, " She exclaimed, her smile never leaving her face.

Liam felt bad. He truly did, but there was no way he could deal with Alice's energy today even if he didn't have plans already.

"Sorry, but today hasn't been the best day, and I have to see my parents today," Liam said. "Maybe another day?"

Alice's smile faltered a bit.

"Oh yea, of course! If you need anything, I'm here, okay?" She wrapped her arms around Liam before heading in the direction of the doors.

Liam sighed and continued putting things away in his locker. Finally finished, and having nothing else to stall time with, he headed in the same direction Alice had gone just a few minutes prior.

As Liam finally made it home, he noticed that his parents' car was already in the driveway.

He opened his front door and set his bookbag on the ground by the door, not feeling like going upstairs.

"Liam, is that you?"

"Yes," Liam yelled, heading toward the kitchen to start dinner.

He pulled out all the ingredients to make spaghetti and turned on the stove. Liam hated using the stove. They had a gas stove, and it made him nervous that he was going to blow up the house whenever he would use it. Another reason why he stayed with the Cullens.

Footsteps came down the stairs before a woman with ironed, blonde hair came into the kitchen.

She was pretty, of course without all the makeup she caked onto her face for work. Her blonde, bleached hair went down to her shoulders with not a hair out of place. She had baby blue eyes and white teeth that were blinding to look at. (Not that she smiled often).
