Bella brought Liam up to a cliff. It was high above freezing water, waves crashing against the rock bay below. He wasn't exactly sure how he managed to get up there with her. All he could remember was running through the woods with Edward and then nothing.

She stood near the edge, but not close enough to fall over it. She was smirking at Liam, giving him a look that sent shivers down his spine. Liam glanced down over the cliff, spotting the cold water down below. He nervously glanced back at Bella, standing too close to the edge for comfort.

"What are we doing here?" Liam asked, his voice wobbly. Bella laughed like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"I just thought we would try something fun, you know?" She said. She still had that look on her face, the smirk growing with every word. "The wolves seem to really like cliff jumping, so I figured, why wouldn't vampires?"

Liam flinched. The idea of jumping off the cliff did not sound fun to him. He glanced back down at the water before turning back to Bella.

"I-I'm not sure I want to.." Liam trailed off, his voice getting quieter when he realized he probably wouldn't have a choice.

Bella laughed again, tossing her head back before smiling at Liam with a sigh. "I'm sure your mates would be extremely upset to find out their mate pushed an innocent girl off of a cliff."

Liam looked at her confused. "Huh? But I didn't push anyone off the cliff."

"Oh, but you did," She smirks and walks closer to the edge where Liam was standing. Liam tried to step back but felt his foot slip off the cliff. He was too close to the edge without falling off. He nervously looked back at Bella who was now standing on the edge as well.

"I hope you like swimming, leech." She smirked and jumped off the cliff herself. Liam watched in shock as she dove into the cold water below. What was he supposed to do? Did she say that because she expected him to dive after her and save her? What was that about pushing a girl off the cliff? Were there rumors going around?

Liam froze when he realized what she meant. She was talking about her. That girl that he "pushed" was her. She probably told someone that he was pushing a girl off the cliff so he would look like a horrible person. A criminal, even. He could be taken to court for attempted murder if Bella told her dad. Charlie was likely to believe his own daughter over him.

He glanced over the cliff again and saw Bella's body slowly swimming under the waves. She seemed to be moving but it wasn't fast at all. Her body probably couldn't handle the cold water.

Liam glanced around, trying to look for anything, or anyone, that could help. There was nobody around though, much to Liam's displeasure. He didn't want people to think he was a murderer. He wasn't. This was a set up. But who would believe him? Bella was the new, popular girl with all the friends. Liam was just a loner who was dating the "weirdo" at school.

Liam took a deep breath, despite not needing it, and jumped off the cliff. The water was cold. Even he could feel that against his skin. The impact sent shivers down his spine before they were replaced with adrenaline. He had to get to Bella before she got out of the water and told her dad he pushed her off the cliff. Maybe if he saves her, someone will come and see him pulling her out of the water.

La Push was very popular. Especially with the wolves. Someone had to be there. Liam froze in the water, realizing that he was at La Push. If a wolf spotted him here, they would kill him. He would die with everyone thinking he was a murderer. Everyone would hate him. Bella would win if he died. She would get the Cullens and the entire town.

Liam shook his head and swam down to Bella's body, which was now starting to sink. He quickly grabbed onto her arm and pulled her up, wrapping his arms around her torso. He swam as best as he could with her in his arms towards the surface. Liam could feel the current dragging them around and the waves crashing from above. He could stay here until the water calmed down if it weren't for the body in his arms.

With all the strength he could muster, he swam to the surface, waves crashing down on them. He swam towards the shore, holding Bella close to him. When he finally reached a part of the ocean he could stand in, he picked up Bella and carried her bridal style to the sand. He hopes he remembers his CPR classes or else this would be extremely bad.

"Liam!?" A voice called. Liam glanced up and saw Jacob running towards them. Liam let out a sigh of relief before placing Bella's body on the dry sand. "What the hell happened!?"

"S-She thought she would do cl-cliff diving I guess," Liam panted, his voice shaky from the cold. Liam stopped, realizing he could feel the cold. He wasn't supposed to be able to feel the cold. It wasn't supposed to bother him. Liam also realized he was panting. Although it wasn't panting, per say, he was having trouble breathing. He wasn't supposed to be breathing. He was a vampire. Vampires didn't need to breathe.

"-iam! Liam!" A voice broke him out of his thoughts. Liam looked up and saw Jacob kneeling by him, giving Bella CPR. "What's going on? Why are you panting?"

Jacob looked concerned but mostly confused. He kept pushing on Bella's chest. Liam could hear her ribs crack slowly with each push. Liam's breathing increased. He was cold. He couldn't breathe. The sound was too much. He was going to be known as a murderer. He wasn't supposed to be able to breathe so why did it hurt so much to not get any air flow?

Jacob's voice became quieter and quieter and all Liam could hear was his labored breaths and the cracking of Bella's ribs.

I don't know if any of you were/are directioners but I know I was. Liam was a huge part of my childhood and it hurts to know he is no longer here because of something that could have been prevented. It's been almost a month since his passing but I still think about it every day. I hope all my directioners are doing okay..

Rest in Peace Liam, Payno, Leeroy

Lots of Love <3
