My eyes scanned the room around me. Beeping machines, nurses crowded in a particular spot.

The baby! Was he ok? I managed to blurt out some words, somehow forgetting is to speak whilst in this environment.

They came over and started asking me questions. Like if I could see weird colours to check if I was hallucinating.

"Is my baby ok?" I said hoarsely, indicating I needed a drink. She pulled out the ultrasound gel and the other thing and pulled out the monitor.

"Here he is, happy and healthy, hoping mummy is aswell," one nurse said and printed out the picture for me.

"Shushhh make sure no one finds out you got this," I laughed a little and then she asked me if I wanted to see Phil.

I said yes and could they bring him in straight away. Phil almost ran in the room when he saw me awake and his face said it all, "Are you ok?" He said and stroked some hair out my face.

I nodded and asked him to hand me some water, by this point my throat was so dry and hoarse. "What about Ronnie?" Phil said and rubbed my stomach.

"Yep he's healthy and happy in there," I said and smiled while leaning back on my pillow. I showed Phil the scan photo and he smiled and gave me a kiss.

He sat with me a little longer before Jack and Sasha came storming in to find me. Well, mostly Jack did the storming. Jack gasped when he saw me and came and sat beside me. Everyone asked a dozen questions which Phil answered for me.

Thank god he was considerate, today was terrible enough for me. Phil traced out my leg with his finger, making me look over my bump and seeing a thick bandage on my leg. Jack went over to the nurse discreetly and I started talking to Sasha.

She wouldn't stop apologising. "I shouldn't have let him come near you!" She said tears streaming from her face.

I stroked her head to reassure her. "No he was trying to get us both, there was nothing you could do," I said and put my head on my pillow whilst Phil stroked my arm.

Jack came back over to tell us that I was free to leave after I finished the last of my routines, making sure my leg was ok and I had no internals like bleeding and whatnot.
