"Hey, Frankie hey wake up." I could hear Kyle trying to wake me up but I was trying to ignore him. Then he started shaking me.

"What Kyle? What is it?" I asked sleepily, eyes still closed.

"We're here." He said. I felt the car jolt and then stop causing me to open my eyes. The sun was shining through the window and it took a minute for my eyes to adjust to the light.

"What time is it?" I asked rubbing my eyes trying to focus.

"It's 7." He replied unbuckling his seat belt and turning the car off.

"7? How long have we been driving?" I asked finally feeling awake. I looked straight ahead out of the windshield and saw big letters. "Are you kidding me? We are not in Los Angeles..." I said unbuckling and opening my door. I started walking towards the words until I heard Kyle right on my heels. I jolted to a stop and turning around as Kyle got right behind me. I felt my fist make contact with his cheek and then he was on the concrete.

"What the hell was that for?" He yelled throwing his right hand over his cheek.

"We are 6 hours away from home. You brought me to freakin' Disneyland! Why? Are you 9?" I screamed back as he just sat on the ground rubbing his cheek.

"First this is the first place on the list. Second you punch like a dude. Third I happen to like Disneyland and don't see anything wrong with that. It's the happiest place on earth, so big surprise that you would hate it. Oh and last the only reason I'm on the floor is because you caught me off guard and I haven't slept." He said pushing himself off the sidewalk and onto his feet.

"What have you made out with a girl on one of the roller coasters?" I asked beginning to pace.

"No, actually this is your first stop..." He replied still rubbing his cheek. "Do you like not understand this weekend? How would me making out with someone on a roller coaster at Disney be a big enough deal that Thomas would have me drive you all the way here?" He asked walking past me and taking a seat on a nearby bench.

"Disneyland... What is so important about... Oh wait." I said sitting next to him.

"Oh wait what? Did you just punch me in the face for no reason?" He asked scooting away from me.

"No I'm sure I will think of something that you deserved that punch for." I said through a giant grin. "But I think I know why we are here."

"And..."

"Well I had my first kiss here."

"Okay I'm pretty sure you are supposed to go into more detail. You could have told me that back home."

"Damn it Kyle, I will punch you again!"

"You know something. Before this I thought you were a good girl who didn't do anything wrong. Like no cussing, no drinking, no kissing someone 6 hours away from home. This is a very eye opening experience so thanks." He said standing up to put more distance between us.

"Oh shut up Kyle!"

"I'm serious I didn't know you had this kinda sass in you. It's kinda hot." He said laughing.

"Yeah well all this has taught me so far is that you are a pig and that honestly isn't a new discovery." Though we had gotten to Disney before it opened people were beginning to line up at the gates. "Do you wanna hear or not cause if not I would like to leave before your hideous personality have children mistaking you for Gaston." He took a seat back on the bench and waited for me to begin.

"Okay so the year I was 12 my dad was basically gone on business the whole time. Missed Thanksgiving, Christmas and all my seventh grade events and was gonna be gone on my 13th birthday. My mom felt awful about it and one day she was talking to Thomas' mom about how she wanted to do something for my birthday since my father wasn't gonna be home. Sarah told my mom that they were planning a trip to Disney and that they would love if I would join them. I would be gone on my birthday but my mother thought it was an awesome idea, so I got to go."

"Okay so was 13 year old you more adventurous? Like did you kiss one of the princes? Or Peter Pan? You seem like a Pan kinda girl."

"Kyle, don't interrupt me and I will freakin tell you."

"Got it! Lips are sealed." He said making the zipped lips motion and threw away the imaginary key.

"Anyway it was my birthday and we had just spent all day at the park and I was exhausted. Thomas and I sat on that bench over there." I said pointing to the bench on the opposite side of the entrance. "So we were sitting there and Vanessa and her mom were still in the park. Your uncle walked back to our hotel to get the car and then he was coming to get us and we were going to dinner. Thomas and I were just sitting there, I was complaining about my feet and he was complaining about his stomach."

"Sounds like him." He interrupted.

I just gave him a look and he nodded his head as if saying continue."Anyway he looked at me and asked me how if felt being 13 and if I felt different. I told him no and then he said he felt the same. That age is just a number and until something big happens he will probably feel the same not any older. Then he reached into his pocket and handed me a thimble."

"A thimble? That's the dumbest thing I have ever heard." That time I ignored him and continued with my story.

"I asked him what the thimble was for and he told me that he knew how much I loved Peter Pan and thought it would be a nice gift basically to remind me not to grow up." I saw Kyle's face break into a huge smile realizing he had been right about the Peter Pan thing. "So I gave him a hug and kissed him on the cheek. As I pulled away he took hold of my face and kissed me, it was short and sweet and then it was over. His mom and sister came out right as his dad pulled up and we went to dinner. We never talked about it after that and that's it." I said looking pleased with my story tell skills and waited for him to respond.

"Okay so you are done right?" I nodded and then he lost it. "Ha! I was right you do like Peter Pan! Didn't expect the whole Thomas thing at first but I'm honestly not surprised." He said getting up from the bench. "Let's go! I don't wanna scare any of the kids." He said as he walked to the car.

I rose and began to follow reaching into the front pocket of my jeans and pulling the small thimble out. I stopped and turned around looking at the huge letter above the entrance and repeated his words before heading back to the car. "Never grow up."
