It took about 15 minutes for me to clean myself up and another 15 before Kyle pulled up in his jeep. I opened the passenger side and got back in without a word. I think everything was said that needed to be, everything Kyle said to me wasn't anything I haven't already told myself. I leaned my head up against the window and waited for Kyle to start the car.

"Umm Frankie I didn't mean..." He started to say before I cut him off.

"Kyle honestly let it go." I said shaking my head. "It's whatever." Without a word he turned the car back on and headed to a nearby hotel. After he parked the car in the parking lot, Kyle got out and went inside to get a room. I just sat in the passenger seat waiting for him to return. I can't believe how extremely selfish I had been without even realizing it. Ronnie deserved a better friend than that and she probably doesn't even realize that. When Kyle came out of the hotel and started walking towards the car I got out and grabbed my bag. We walked into the hotel in silence and went straight to the elevator.

"I'm so tired I could sleep forever." Kyle said trying to break the awkward silence between us. I just nodded. "You can take the first shower if you want."

I looked over at him as the elevator door opened and a family of 5 with suitcases entered. The tiny elevator suddenly became super crowded and I had to stand chest to chest with Kyle to avoid getting hit by a plastic sword. I could feel his chest raise up and down, his heart rate rising.

"Fancy seeing you here." He said smiling. I laughed quietly. Somehow his hand found my waist and though it was a bit awkward position for us I didn't really want him to move it. The doors opened again and the family exited taking their plastic sword with them but I didn't move. I didn't want to as the elevator doors shut again. So I didn't. I just stood there staring at him trying to think of something to say until the elevator stopped again.

"I think this is our floor." I said backing up as the doors opened. He nods but doesn't drop his hand. Even though I didn't want to I backed up a bit and turned around walking out of the elevator and toward our room number. I stopped in front of room #428 waiting for Kyle to open it. It was a decent size room with a small desk, a dresser with a tv on it and a queen sized bed. After putting my bag down and grabbing some clothes to sleep in I went into the bathroom and locked the door.

"Frankie you need to pull yourself together if you're gonna make it through this weekend." I whispered to my reflection in the mirror. I turned the shower on as high as it would go before getting undressed and stepping into the shower. I let the steaming hot water hit my skin for a few minutes before I actually started washing my hair and body. After about fifteen minutes I turned off the water and grabbed a towel wrapping it tightly around my body. I quickly got dressed and brushed my hair before unlocking the door and walking into the main room. "I'm out." I said to Kyle, who had been sitting at the foot of the bed with his head in his hands. He nodded before getting up and walking into the bathroom locking the door. I looked around the small room and tried to find something to entertain myself until Kyle came out of the bathroom. There was a folded up piece of paper on the desk that hadn't been there before I got into the shower. I got up and picked up the paper turning it over in my hands a few times before unfolding it.

Dear Kyle, I really need you to do this for me.

I folded the letter back up and placed it where I had found it. Clearly it was one of the letters to Kyle from Thomas but it was just that. It was for Kyle's eyes and his eyes only. About a minute later the shower water shut off and the sounds of the shower door opening and closing followed.

I laid down on the right side of the bed and tried to get comfortable under the covers. Kyle walked past the bed shirtless to the curtains which were wide up letting the afternoon sun shine into our room. After he closed them and checked to make sure there wasn't any light escaping into our room, he walked back over to the bed and sat down on the left side. "Do you care if we share?"

"That's fine. I mean there is only one bed so..." I said rolling over to face the wall instead of him. I could feel him lift up the covers enough to slide underneath them and after about a minute of him tossing and turning he finally settled.

"Hey Kyle." I whispered.

"Yes?"

"Do you remember when we met?"

"Yeah."

"I was just thinking about that and you know something."

"What?"

"You really screwed me over." I whispered.

"I'm sorry."

"You choose being popular over have friends who didn't want anything from you but your friendship." I said yawning. "And I hated you for that." I heard him whisper something as I let sleep take over.

"I'm truly sorry, I never wanted to hurt you."
