The howling wind ruffled Fell's fur-lined coat, the darkness before him little more than a vast and empty void. A flying piece of paper caught on his shoulder. He grabbed it. The faded code meant nothing to him. He crumbled up the paper and opened his fist to let the wind carry it away. "You've done it. You've completely torn this world apart. Are you satisfied?" Fell asked, turning to face Fatal.
The corrupted god looked wildly mad, opening his arms up to the wind and basking in whatever thrilling sensation this massacre brought hum. He smiled, chuckling to himself. "Oh, it's perfect," He breathed out, scarf flailing behind his back. "But am I satisfied? No. No, of course not," He sighed, walking over to and around Fell. He then grabbed him by the shoulders, grip tight enough to make his bone creek. Fell clenched his jaw shut, attempting to hide the pain. "I won't be satisfied until the multiverse stops breathing. All that chaos and disorder will be crushed, and then at long last, there will be pure silence."
"What about the other gods? Don't you think they'll try to stop you?" Fell asked.
Fatal let go of him and paced aside, his hands behind his back. "Oh, they'll try. I'm counting on it," He replied. He slipped Cross's heart locket out from up his sleeve. He swung the chain around on one of his fingers. "And when they come for me, I won't hesitate to turn one of their own against them. We'll see how deadly this half of Cross can be," He told him. He cackled like a hyena, opening a portal in front of himself. "Now come along, pet. There's more fun to be had."
"Why should I follow you?" Fell questioned. Fatal paused, looking back at him with amusement. He pointed at Fatal, who lifted his brows and stared at his outstretched hand. "You just admitted that you'd destroy everything. Why should I bother trailing after a lunatic like you if you're just going to kill my people anyway?" He asked, daring to stomp a little closer to Fatal. Anger fueled his foolish bravery.
Fatal chuckled. "I won't lie. I clearly have no interest in sparing your universe," He agreed so casually, using a single talon to push Fell's hand back down. "But let me put it to you this way," He then mused, a couple red strings beginning to slump out of his eyes. Fell shuddered as they seemed to move on their own, slithering down Fatal's face with snake-like movements. "Pain is multiversal. Every universe knows what it's like to hurt. Yet I can assure you, no one has ever felt an agony like that of what I can do. I do not flinch at torture, but I'm sure your family will," He threatened, one of his red strings reaching out and brushing Fell's jawline. He instantly pulled away from the searing hot pain just that tiny touch inflicted. "They'll die either way, Fell, but I'm giving you the chance to decide how. As swift as a slash of my claws, or as slow as physically possible. What shall it be?"
Fell swallowed, terrified by his words. This isn't fair. "Where are we going next?" He asked, giving in. He couldn't turn his back on Fatal. Not yet, and certainly not in the middle of an empty world.
Fatal smiled, turning back towards his portal. "Oh, Fell..." He shook his head and gave him a disappointed clicking sound. "Don't you know that it's no fun when someone spoils a surprise?"
...
"I suppose you can have this. So long as you don't let Ink get his filthy paint smeared hands all over it," Error said, holding the pocketwatch up before Paperjam and Cross. The silver clock ticked in a steady rhythm, somehow managing to display the correct time despite the realms often having different cycles. Perhaps it magically changes depending on the world it's in. Paperjam reached for the watch, but Error quickly yanked it back and high out of their reach. "'Ey! Did you hear what I said? Don't just give it to your dad!" Error growled.
"Yes! I know. I heard you," Paperjam snapped back, attempting to reach the watch despite Error's height advantage. Eventually Error dropped the watch, letting Paperjam catch it by the chain. They instantly turned away, back towards the infirmary's door.
