"Macaque...?" You questioned as he only sadly smiled before placing the soup on the nightstand.

"Glad you're awake. The kid was getting real worried about y'a that it got me anxious." He said sitting on a chair.

You only looked at him before bursting into tears.

"Ah! Lotus..?! Wha...? What's wrong?" Macaque was taken aback if you crying as he went to your side to see what's wrong.

"I'm sorry...! It's just...so much has happened...and I was powerless to do ANYTHING! I'm nothing! I'm weak, sacred, a damsel in distress that needs a HUSBAND to save me! I'm not fit to be the Goddess of Balance if I can't even keep the world from breaking apart!" You ranted while trying to wipe your tears.

Macaque only frowned at that, it's not you to be so defeated.

You didn't expect him to hug but you needed it as you cried on his shoulder, "You're not nothing, Lotus. You're the most strongest, kindest and the most fierce goddess I've met in my life." Said Macaque.

You couldn't talk as your sniffles and tears stopped you from trying to speak, "I know it's hard losing someone special every now and then. But I know Wukong would've avenged you and fought on til the end. Because...I'd do the same for you too Lotus...you're my only friend ever since the beginning of all this. I'm sorry I wasn't there when you needed help. But I'm here now and ready to be there when you need me."

"I should've realized a long time ago..." you smiled sadly holding his face as he grew confused.

"What are you talking about?" Asked the dark monkey.

"About your feelings for me."

That made the monkey's breath hitch, "H-how did you-"

"The scroll, Macaque. Why didn't you tell me?" You answered before asking your question as he turned away.

"I...It's...I knew you loved Wukong romantically so I decided to let go...I knew it all along...but I guess I was just scared of loosing you as a friend also before anything...I thought that if you married him...you'd forget about me like he did...I didn't want that to happen so I initiated the fight...I'm sorry I didn't tell you sonner..." he revealed the truth of his feelings as he couldn't look at you.

You only smiled slightly and turned his face, "Well...I'm glad you told me still. Even if it took a few centuries. I'm glad you came off clean Mac."

He sat there shocked at how kind and gentle you were with the truth he told just seconds ago as he laughed while crying.

"Haha...! You're too good for the world Lotus...No wonder Wukong was so eager to marry you." He wiped his tears before you embraced him in a hug as he returned it.

"Oh shut it you stupid dark monkey! I love you too troublemaker." You teased.

"Yeah, yeah. Me too Lotus. Me too. You alright to move?" Smiled Macaque before asking about your injury.

"I'm fine. I heal fast. I need to know a few things Mac, please..." you stated before pleading to your friend.

"I can tell you but it's not pretty. You're gonna have to brace yourself alright?" He said seriously as you nodded getting ready for the worst.

"MK told me some bits of it but couldn't really explain as he was 'glitching' during that time but here's what I got so far. Wukong's scroll...is cut in half by Azure..." started Macaque.

"What. Did. You. Say...?!" Your smile was as intense as an earthquake as Macaque sweat dropped.
