"I feel bad," G said as she was getting the last of her things into her suitcase.
"Don't, I'll be fine," I said putting my notebook into my bag.

It was the start of thanksgiving break and many of the people here started packing and even leaving to go home. Meanwhile, I'm staying up at the college.

"What are you going to do here?" G asked.
"I don't know, hang out." I answered.
"What's Ren doing?" She asked, sipping on the tea she made herself.
"I don't know," I said back.

I would guess Ren would be going home to Pennsylvania, but I wasn't sure of her plans. I could ask in trig today.

"Well," G said, drinking the last of her tea, "you have fun up here,"
I laughed, "I'll try,"
"Don't make trouble, alright?" She said, giving me a fake parental look.
"Promise," I said, chuckling.
"Alright," she hugged me and proceeded to grab her bag and turn to the door.
"See ya," I waved her off.
She nodded and closed the door behind her.

I sighed and walked over to the mirror to begin working with my hair, that was still damp from my shower. I grimaced at how out of control it was, and I only had 20 minutes until my last class.
I sighed and decided that a ponytail was my only option. I grabbed my recently dark brown hair in clumps and pulled it all up, not bothering to brush it back. I turned back around into the dorm and grabbed my phone and my bag and walked out the door.

--
Once I reached the classroom I walked into the already open door and realized the class felt a little smaller, some probably skipped to go home.

I found my seat next to Ren, who was already here, and already staring me down.
"Hey Taryn," she said smugly.
"Hi Ren" I said back.
"You look nice," she said.
"Thanks," I replied.

Our professor walked in and began to tell us that we are lucky we showed up because the others will likely fail the class due to not showing up.

He gave us our homework assignment, a 5,000 word essay about the beginning of trigonometry, and then walked out. We all looked around to each other and then one by one we began to leave. I shrugged my shoulders and grabbed my things to put them back in my bag.
"Are you going home?" Ren asked.
"As in my dorm, yes," I answered.
"Oh, why aren't you going home?" She asked again.
"My parents went on a cruise," I shrugged my shoulders.
She laughed, "oh,"
"Yeah, are you going to Penn?" I asked her.
"Yeah," she said, as we exited the class and made our way to our building.

We made our way to the elevator and she walked me to my dorm.
"Hey, you know..." she said, leaning against my door frame, "you could come home with me,"
I have to be honest, my heart skipped a beat, but I quickly rolled my eyes and turned around into my dorm.
"Hah, no way," I said.
She followed me in and shut the door, "come on," she said, following me to the counter, "it will be fun,"
I put a tea into the kuerig that G got for her birthday a month ago. "You're insane," I said, laughing and grabbing a mug.
She grabbed my arm and pulled me close, I could feel her breath on my face, right as I stopped breathing.
"Please.." She whined.
I snapped back into reality as I felt the burning tea hit my hand.
"Shit!" I yelled and backed up.
She laughed, as I grabbed paper towels and put my mug onto the plate so it would catch the rest of the tea.

I looked up and glared at Ren, who was still laughing. "Not funny, your fault," I turned on the sink, and began running the cold water over my hand.
"Okay, okay, I'm sorry," she said, sympathetically.
"Mhm," I mumbled.
"Look, seriously," she said.
"No, Ren, that's weird, I don't want to crash your thanksgiving." I said.
"Taryn, you won't, plus my family is always on me about school and stuff, if you're there, they'll lay off," she said, all hopeful.
I looked around the dorm, "I don't have anything packed, and thanksgiving is tomorrow," I said.
"So throw some things together, we'll stay until Sunday," she said.
I looked around and debated it in my mind. I didn't have anything to do.
"Okay, fine," I sighed.
She smiled.
"You're helping me," I said, pointing.
"Deal," she said, and I grabbed my tea.
