It was so lonely without all of your new friends you really hoped to see them all again. They were just the greatest! Not saying that the people here weren't great! But they were just new people in your life... You've known everyone in that town for your whole life.

You sighed and pushed those thoughts away. Maybe you should go somewhere today. Not the town though, becasue every time you in you get dragged around by the kids or Mai-chan. How about the lake? It hasn't frozen over maybe you could take a dip in. It would feel nice having the cold water nip at you.

Cold weather was the best. You found autumn nice but it was still warm and you didn't care for spring or summer they were both to hot for you. Despite being a warm and kind person you felt drawn to the cold more than anything. Mai said it was wried but it made me more interesting.

You grabbed a towel then slid open the door and made your way around back. Your house was very close the the lake you just had to pass through a bunch of trees. Another reason you liked living here, it was close by many things. Well just two but again you didn't need anything else really.

You had a well just outside your house same with trees then the lake was basically just in the back yard and the village was only a short walk away. Everything was perfect.

The walk to the lake was very short and peaceful. You could only hear the wind and birds.

The lake was a very big lake and had many fish, maybe once the lake fully freezes over you could go ice fishing...  

You slowly stepped out of your clothes and wrapped you towel around you. The cold air nipped at your skin and you shivered a bit. You know this is how people get hypothermia...

You stepped into the water and very slowly let yourself be submerged in the water. You gripped your towel tightly and let out shaky breaths. You closed your eyes and let the coldness comfort you. You eventually let yourself just float on the water.

It was cold yes but so calming to you. You could stay in here all day, if you weren't able to get hypothermia that is.

"You know that water is cold right?"

The voice startled you so bad you yelped and you head accidentally went under the water. You quickly stood up and gripped the towel tighter. You looked over to  shore and saw a man with black hair and a mismatched haori. Oh and the same uniform all the others had on!!

"Who are you???" You asked the stranger, you didn't even hear him approach.

"I am Tomioka Giyu?" He said as if he was questioning that himself. You sweat dropped. And then he turned away from you.

"Oh... Okay." You don't know why but that was really underwhelming... "Uh I'm (l/n)   (y/n)!"

"Isn't that cold?" He asked. You looked down at the water, yeah it was cold but it didn't bother you so much.

"Yeah but its nice." You look up at him and smile.

Your face heats up when you realize how exposed you are to this man. Your only wearing a towel right now!! How indecent! You internally scolded yourself, despite you not knowing this would happen.

"I think you'll catch a cold if you stay in there any longer." Tomioka bluntly said.

"Yeah your probably right..." You said as you began stepping out of the water. Tomioka was still facing away from you so you faced away as well and hurriedly put your kimono back on. This was so awkward... "Ah Tomioka-san what are you doing here?"

"I was supposed to meet up with someone in the next town over."

Giyu was talking so much, he himself was quite confused but every time you spoke he felt compelled to respond to you. Maybe you were a witch?

"Ohhh okay then!" Wow you believed that easily. "I have my clothes on now you can look." He nodded and turned around to face you. Woah his eyes were such a pretty shade of blue!

You looked Tomioka-san up and down and observed him very closely.

Giyu felt very judged right now-

He had a blade too! Your now just realizing it but they all did, Sanemi, Kyojuro, and Shinobu! They all had blades what did they do for a living?

"Tomioka-san I've seen a lot of people pass through here with the same uniform and they all had blades. What do you guys do for a living? Are you hunters of some sorts??"

You talked a little to much for Giyu's liking but you had no ill intentions and seemed to genuinely care about the things that were being said or asked.

"Yes, hunters of some sorts." It tenichally wasn't a lie they did hunt.

"Oh wow thats pretty cool! But why don't you use guns instead?"

"Swords are easier to come by and I don't trust guns." It again wasn't a lie. But why did you keep asking? Most civilians were curious but this is the longest conversation he's had with one. It was started to freak him out usually he would just ignore them or tell them everything is alright and then leave. Why were you different?

"Ohh okay that makes sense to me!" You smiled.

"Your hair is wet your going to catch a cold..." He said quietly. He was totally right, grabbed a piece of your hair and was shocked when you saw the tips were frosted.

"Oh your right I should probably head home and warm up! It was really nice talking to you Tomioka-san, I hope we meet again!" You said as you ran off.

Giyu felt the same way. His cheeks were now pink as he thought of the next time you two would see each other. He enjoyed being in your presence even if it was only for a short moment.
