TO KEEP COLIN SAFE, OPHELIA tried her hardest not to be seen with him that often, and it seemed like Colin understood. No longer would they be seen anywhere near each other, except for when they were partnered together during classes, or when they would secretly meet in the library, or decide to meet up out of doors, when nobody was around.

Over the next few weeks, Ophelia had developed quite the reputation. No longer did she sit and do nothing if anyone gossiped about her. Instead, she'd scare off anyone who talked dirt about her, or her family.

When Erica Gludgeon spoke of how stuck up and snobbish she was, and Ophelia overheard her in the girls' bathroom, she set Erica's tie on fire, and walked out with a grin.

During mealtimes, whenever Ginny or Mariana would send her dirty glares, Ophelia would smile at them sweetly, blow them a fake kiss and then flip them off by showing them her middle finger.

Anyone else who dared to cross her; she dealt with them in a similar way. And slowly, eventually, she was feared.

And by the time April arrived, nobody dared to say anything about her, to her, or behind her back. Nobody gossiped about her in fear that they would be next to be on the receiving end of her wrath.

One of the reasons why Ophelia looked forward to April was because it was the month of her birthday. Her birthday was the one day she was completely spoiled rotten by both her parents, and her relatives.

Her birthday, this year, fell on a Saturday, much to her delight. Ophelia had labelled it on her calendar, and she was looking forward to it all year.

On the twenty-fourth of April, Ophelia woke up late, feeling special, even though nobody at Hogwarts except Draco knew that it was her birthday.

Today, her outfit consisted of a pink turtleneck sweater, and a pair of skinny, white jeans. She topped it off with various necklaces accessorized around her neck, and tied her hair into a ponytail, dangling silver hoops from her ears. Finishing it off with her signature cherry lip-gloss, she made her way to the Great Hall for breakfast.

When she sat down, she met the eyes of Colin, who sent her a smile and a wink, to which she responded by a single nod of her head.

Deciding to spoil herself today, she decided to eat more than her usual portion, and buttered a piece of toast for herself, along with some strawberries and cream.

Just as she was done eating, and had wiped her hands and mouth, her owl dropped off a package onto her desk, accompanied by a letter. Not nearly a few seconds later, a second package was dropped at her table, and another letter.
