EASTER WITH THE GREENGRASSES WAS much more fun than Ophelia had anticipated. Lord and Lady Greengrass were very hospitable, and were delighted that Astoria had finally brought a friend home. They showed Ophelia a great time, and the blonde was rather sorry the vacation was over when it was time for her to return to Hogwarts.

Her days had been full of walks in the nearby forest, gardening, swimming, painting and staying up late with Astoria for midnight talks and hot chocolate.

She also found that she missed Theo terribly. As soon as Ophelia had boarded the train to the Greengrass Chateau, she had written to him immediately, telling him she suddenly felt like she needed time away from Hogwarts as the upcoming OWL exams were stressing her out too much. Naturally, Theo wrote back instantly, telling her he understood, and to enjoy herself thoroughly as this was the last chance she would get at a vacation.

They kept corresponding for the entire break.

Though they were dating in secret, Ophelia missed the secret glances he always sent her, and the stolen moments together when they would get a chance to sneak away for even just a minute.

Two weeks was a long time, and it felt even longer when one waits for a loved one. They say distance makes the heart grow fonder, and fonder did Ophelia's heart grow with every passing day she spent away from Theo.

God, she missed the flutters in her abdomen whenever he'd wink at her, or when his dark eyes would stare at her from all the way across the Great Hall during mealtimes.

She missed him so much, that every day, she thought about their reunion. Would he be waiting for her at the entrance, like he always did after her classes? Or would he present her with flowers?

Or would he greet her formally in front of her brother, and kiss the living daylights out of her once they were alone?

She imagined every scenario, multiple times.

And when the time came for her to go back to Hogwarts, she had a newfound spring in her step just thinking about Theo.

As soon as she reached Hogwarts, Theo wasn't waiting for her, like she'd envisioned, so many times before.

In fact, Ophelia couldn't see him. She could only make out a familiar platinum blonde head, and one glance was enough to tell her it was Draco.

"Draco!" the blonde jumped at seeing her brother, hugging him tightly and pressing a quick kiss to his cheek, making him grimace and push her away.

"Ophelia," he greeted, patting her back awkwardly. He seemed.... distracted. He wasn't even looking at her. When the Malfoy heiress followed his line of sight, she found him looking at... Astoria.
