NOW THAT KATIE BELL WAS officially back, there was only a matter of time before people bombarded her with questions and the suspicions would all point towards Draco.

Speaking of the eldest Malfoy sibling, Ophelia's eyes widened and she stared at Theo, her expression full of alarm.

"We should check on Draco," she told him.

Her brother probably knew that Katie was back, and Ophelia knew he would be completely ridden with guilt and fear. Guilt for nearly murdering an innocent girl, and fear for being discovered.

The Malfoy heiress cast another side glance towards her boyfriend, and together, they hastened to make their way to the room of requirement, no doubt, where Draco would be freaking out, afraid that Katie would somehow figure out he was behind her hospitalization and tell everyone.

Sure enough, when they reached the room of requirement, Ophelia and Theo had found Draco was sobbing once more, like they had found him in an almost identical position a few weeks ago on the night that Theo had told Ophelia he loved her.

This time was a little bit better. There were no cans of beer or bottles of firewhiskey or traces of blood anywhere, and Ophelia let out a soft breath of relief when she noticed this.

Draco was shaking, clutching his face in his hands, sobbing hysterically, trembling in a fetal position in front of the vanishing cabinet.

Ophelia had seen him have a panic attack like this several times, but there was something utterly gut-wrenching about seeing him in this state, and she would never be able to get used to this, no matter how many times it happened.

"Fuck, Dray, you have to be strong," Ophelia murmured, bending over as her perfectly manicured fingers touched his shoulder. "Katie doesn't know we were behind it, I'm sure of it."

Ophelia slowly glanced up at Theo, who was staring at Draco with a sort of frightened expression on his face as he pressed his lips together.

They exchanged a glance.

"Let's get you back to the dorm, yeah?" The Nott heir snapped out of his daze and came to his senses, his muscles tightening when he used his strength to lift Draco off the ground.

It was when Theo did things like this that caused Ophelia to lose sudden focus of her priorities and randomly think about Theo, his flexing muscles, his long, perfect fingers and the way he ran them through his hair—

"Lia, you coming?" Theo's smooth, silky voice interrupted her trance, and the blonde nodded, before using her arm to support her brother.
