"i do"

"and lastly, do you take mr lee minho to be your wedded and lawful husband? what you'll care for him in sickness and in health, till death do you two apart?"

"i do!"

except the two lovely words were never said by jisung himself. instead, he was in the crowd witnessing the male he fell in love with and dated for a decade getting married to another guy that wasn't him.

sad tears that represented the fragile boy's heart shattering streamed down his cheeks as he watched the couple kiss cheerfully for the first time after being lawfully wedded.

'i can't watch this.' he thought to himself as he stumbled away from the ballroom. dropping off the wedding gift at the reception before running away from the venue.

"here you go! three cups of butterscotch whiskey!" the caucasian bartender pulled him out of his thoughts. jisung sighed as thanked the bartender before taking the drinks over to the booth where he'd continue being a third wheel.

"your drinks," he announced as he got back. he shook his head at the australian couple making out before him. "chan hyung if you're going to eat him out from the mouth, please get a room and do that."

"you're just sulky that you got no one jisung!" felix, the other male, stuck his tongue out in a teasing manner.

it had been fifty years since jisung had ran out of that wedding reception and ran away from south korea - to malaysia. he had met chan, or rather christopher, thirty years ago when the latter was on a business trip.

as humans still despise immortal beings, calling them monsters or creatures from hell. although vampires live in somewhat harmony amongst humans, people will soon catch on when you don't age as you should.

although turning seventy years old in a couple of days' time, jisung, felix, and christopher(he's turning seventy-two) still look youthful and in their twenties. they haven't aged, not even a wrinkle.

chan and felix had met two decades ago. the younger wasn't born a vampire like jisung and christopher. he was a result of an attempted vampire-related murder, except the vampire accidentally leaked some vampire venom into the freckled australian's blood.

if chan hadn't found him that fateful night, it would have been felix's first and last night as a vampire. as the myth goes, he would have turned into ashes when the sunlight hit, and he would have died from hunger after turning into a vampire.

jisung sighed as he reminisced about the past, especially with a certain someone. he shook his head as many memories flooded in. but his eyes rested on a familiar face.

except, instead of looking like he should have aged fifty years, he still looked the same as he did on that wedding night. he thought his eyes were playing tricks on him, so he shut them and shook his head again. true enough the man he once saw was gone.

or so he thought.

"i've finally found you..." the man appeared right in front of him, hovering over the smaller-sized vampire. "i finally found you hannie..." he whispered once again, with relief evident in his voice this time.

"m-min?" jisung stared at the man in disbelief. he was gorgeous as ever. his facial features still as refined, his beauty never left him. his body still toned and bigger than his own.

"yes it's me, lee minho, jisung-ah!" the man, now confirmed to be minho cried, as he engulfed the other in a hug.

chan and felix were confused. but they didn't catch any suspicious, and ill-intention vibes from the man, so they just left and gave the two space. then again, it's not like chan didn't recognise the man from jisung's many old pictures. 'wasn't he a mortal?' was all that went through the eldest's head as he dragged his boyfriend away from the two. saying that he'll explain in a bit.
