[ in celebration of mother taylor swift releasing her rerecorded album, "speak now". <3 ]

"before we proceed," the wedding officiant said before the soon-to-be newlyweds started saying their vows, "does anyone here object to their marriage? please speak now, or forever hold your peace."

the venue got quiet for a while, people looking around to see if anyone would disagree. of course, no one would right? everyone present in the venue was close friends and family of the couple. even the officiant, nari, knew the couple personally!

but suddenly, a figure jumped out from behind a decorative plant, and nervously declared, "m-me! i-i object." gasps and murmurs filled the place as all eyes laid on the figure.

"m-minho?!" jisung gasped as soon as he saw him.

"jisung...i-" minho tried to speak, but the number of eyes on him was too overwhelming. however, what had been done cannot be undone. the wedding would have to be stopped until all parties have sorted things out.

it was just one fucking mistake. one big childish fight between the two that tore them apart. but that wasn't the reason why things didn't work out...

"it was just a drunken kiss chan!" minho frustratedly ran his hand through his hair, standing at his doorway, with his bags beside his feet. "and it wasn't even my fault!"

chan sighed, he knew what happened. he was there to witness it, but before he could pull that girl (who forced herself on minho) off him, jisung had drunkenly caught them 'making out'. thus, throwing him out and his bags, with a slap as well as a heartbreaking "i hate you".

"i know, i'll try to talk to him." the homeowner tried to comfort his best friend. "don't bother, he wouldn't listen, i've tried. god! why is he so fucking stubborn!" minho sighed.

"well that makes the two of you." chan shrugged, "but i'll try to talk to him for you."

but true enough, and to minho's dismay, the younger didn't want to let go of his ego. believing what he had saw instead of what the eldest had explained. "forget it. i'm leaving." minho declared as he wiped away his tears.

"where are you planning to go?"

"back home. to my parents, my cats, and my lovely dance academy." minho shrugged. he may seem nonchalant, but showing emotions in front of people isn't really his strong suit.

so although he seemed fine in chan's eyes, he definitely wasn't the moment his temporary room door closed. big fat tears rolled down his cheeks as he struggled to breathe. crying it out was the only way he knew how to process the pain he felt.

three years have passed chan, as well as his other friends in their friend group, had kept their promise of visiting minho frequently. of course, they avoided the topic of jisung, even though the rest were still friends with him.

but this time, it will be different.

"jisung's getting married." felix blurted out randomly while the seven of them sat around the academy's dance floor. "felix lee yongbok!" chan scolded in disbelief. they had made sure to not tell the poor soul about it. especially when he was still in love with the squirrelly boy who clearly somewhat moved on (or so they thought).

"he what..?" minho whispered, making seungmin sigh. "half a year after you left, he met a boy, they talked and then a few months later they got together and now. yeah, they're getting married in four months time." seungmin explained.
