"sungie! sit down!" minho rushed over to the pregnant younger who had been balancing on the chair while hanging up some last-minute decorations. "i told you i can do it min!" he huffed, grumpily going back to his seat.

"yeah i know you can bubs, but i don't want you to!" minho pouted, trying to give jisung the best puppy eyes he could muster. and it worked as jisung started cringing at the elder, smacking him away while laughing. "fine fine you win!" he shook his head.

just then, the young couple's apartment doorbell rang, followed by a yell, "i'm hereeeeeeeeee~"

"felix!" jisung squeaked, quickly waddling to open the door for his best friend. "sup bitches!" he greeted the freckled boy and his shorter fiancé, who's also part of their friend group, with a hug. and a kiss on the cheek only to felix, to which the freckled boy returned.

"hey pregnant boy!" changbin chirped, ruffling jisung's hair, earning a whine and a smack. "what? it's fluffy! i can't help it?!" he shrugged before backing away from the glare of jisung's husband.

meanwhile, felix had beelined to the kitchen, stuffing jisung's favourite homemade japanese cheesecake that had been turned into their gender review cake. amongst the friend group, only felix and changbin knew the gender of the baby.

"when's the rest coming?" minho asked while he hung up the last decorative piece that jisung was trying to hang initially.

"in a few minutes' time? jinnie hyung said that jeongin lost his socks, so chris and innie took a while longer." felix replied as he flopped beside jisung, cuddling the other.

"socks?" jisung questioned, "that's so random."

"he apparently had this outfit planned, and i think chan hyung kept it so he couldn't find that one pair of mismatched socks." changbin explained, earning nods of understanding from the rest. it was known to them that the youngest of their friend group was a huge fashionista and once he has an outfit in mind, he must go through with it.

soon, the other four arrived at the young couple's apartment and it had become a chaotic place. with changbin screaming about how excited he was to be an uncle and jeongin constantly begging to know the gender. while minho and felix tried to control the bunch, jisung had been in his room with hyunjin, trying to calm down from the chaotic energy outside.

"are you ready jiji?" hyunjin asked, passing the younger his fluffy comfort hoodie. "kinda nervous..." jisung sighed, reaching out a hand for the taller to grab and help hoist him up.

"we're going to know if the little kitten is going to be a tiger or a tigress~" hyunjin sang, making jisung chuckle only to be cut short with a painful groan. "definitely a predator from how hard they kick." jisung sighed, rubbing his belly.

it was oddly quiet when hyunjin opened jisung's room door. everyone carefully watched the pregnant boy waddle out from hiding.

"hi!" seungmin smiled widely when jisung sat down beside him, "how are you?" he ruffled jisung's head. "my back never stopped hurting." jisung fake cried, leaning onto seungmin. "you're going to feel it soon." he teased, referring to the younger's growing bump.

"oh shut up!" seungmin groaned, but smiled while he placed his hands on his and jisung's baby bumps, "baby telephone line." he joked, earning a burst of laughter from his husband, hyunjin.

"sooooooooo" felix started as he sang, "raise your hand if you're team nephew!" only hyunjin, jeongin, and chan raised their hands.

"it's definitely going to be a girl!" seungmin fought.

"well, let's see~" felix teasingly sang as hyunjin brought out the cake.

"minho and jisung take the honours would ya?" the freckled boy passed two plastic wine glasses to the couple. with the count of three in excitement, minho and jisung dug into the fluffy cake with their glasses.

"OH MY GOD!!!" jisung cried, the moment he saw the colour of the dyed cake. quickly placing away the cup, tackling his husband in a hug.

"IT'S BLUE!" minho cheered, pampering his husband with kisses.

"THEY'RE HAVING A BABY BOY!!!" felix, and jeongin screamed in excitement.

"JIJI!! KITTEN'S A TIGER!!!!!!" hyunjin cheered, hugging felix and jeongin in happiness.

"YASSS TEAM NEPHEW!!!!" changbin hollered, while chan just laughed and clapped in happiness.

seungmin though, teared up for two reasons. one of the reasons was that he strongly believed jisung's baby was going to be a girl and that he was wrong. another reason was just him being very happy for the couple and the early pregnancy hormones weren't helping him at all.

"aww baby don't cry~" hyunjin cooed, kissing his precious baby's lips. "are you sure you didn't mix it up with our pup?" he teased.

true enough, months later, it was revealed that seungmin was indeed carrying a baby girl~~
