"She didn't even like Quidditch, why would someone buy her a broomstick?"

AURORA DIDN'T HAVE A very clear idea of how she had managed to get back into the Honeydukes cellar, through the tunnel and into the castle once more. All she knew was that the return trip seemed to take no time at all, and that she hardly noticed what she was doing, because her head was still pounding with the conversation she and Harry had just heard.
Why had nobody ever told them? Dumbledore, Hagrid, Mr Weasley, Cornelius Fudge, even Professor McGonagall... why hadn't anyone ever mentioned the fact that Harry's parents had died because her father and mother betrayed them? Would Harry ever look at her the same anymore? And Professor Lupin was her godfather. And this Marlene McKinnon person...was she the person Poppy always told her about?
Ron and Hermione watched the two of them nervously all through dinner, not daring to talk about what they'd overheard, because Percy was sitting close by them. When they went upstairs to the crowded common room, it was to find Fred and George had set off half-a-dozen Dungbombs in a fit of end-of- term high spirits.
Aurora and Harry looked at each other. They didn't want to be questioned about if they reached Hogsmeade or not. They sneaked quietly up to the stairs and went their separate ways, not saying a word to each other. When Aurora entered her room, she found Crookshanks and Llewelyn sleeping on her bed.
She smiled and sat beside them, stroking Llewelyn's fur. His eyes opened for a minute in surprise but then slowly closed them again when he saw it was Aurora stroking his fur. Sometimes he acted odd. But Aurora learned to adjust to his weird behaviour.
Moments later Hermione came into the dormitory, along with Lavender Brown, Parvati Patil, and another Gryffindor girl that shared rooms with them, Abigail Corroway. Lavender and Parvati were giggling with each other, and Aurora saw Hermione roll her eyes as she came over to Aurora's bed.
"You alright?" Hermione whispered to Aurora, sitting on Aurora's bed, patting Crookshanks.
Aurora didn't answer straight away. At this point, she didn't know what to feel anymore. Her emotions always changed, and most of the time she ended up not knowing what emotion she was feeling.
"I don't know..." Aurora whispered, avoiding eye contact with Hermione.
"OH! Aurora! You wanna know some gossip about you?" Lavender said with an excited grin.
Oh no. Aurora thought to herself. What now.
"Sure," Aurora said, looking at them curiously.
"It is rumoured that a Hufflepuff, Edward Jones, likes you!" Lavender squealed. Parvati clapped her hands in excitement. "Soooo, what are you going to do about, Aurora?" she added.
