The Promise:Time and Death

Chapter 20

Sirens could be heard close by but for Will and Tris it was farther away. Looking at eachother one final time their eyes began to grow heavy. With their eyes closed their breaths were getting weaker until it couldn't be heard anymore. Seconds later the Paramedics came inside of the apartment finding the two siblings lying in a pool of blood holding hands. One of the paramedics rushed over to Will while another one went to Tris, during CPR on both of them there were no signs of life. But minutes later Both of them had very weak pulses.
5 days later Will woke up in the hospital on August 13, 2023 just in time for a nurse to come in and check his IV. Finding him with his eyes open the nurse rushed to get a doctor. The doctor gave him water and let him sit up a little while explaining what has been happening the past 5 days. " W-where is my sister?" Will asked " When you both were rushed in here she was revived twice before she was actually stable. Your sister slipped into a coma." " But Mr. Johnson, I must tell you that your sister only has a 10% chance of living , the truth is that your sister is dying slowly from the bullet wound" the doctor sympathetically said. With tears in his eyes he asked the doctor if he could see her. A nurse rolled him in a wheelchair stopping at Tris's bed, the nurse left out to give the siblings some time alone. Looking at his now paled sister laying in a hospital bed with a tube helping her to breath. Will grabbed her hand and whispered " I'm so sorry bubbles, but I promise to never give up on you" now crying Will couldn't think straight. A week later Will was discharged from the hospital. After reaching the apartment Will took a shower and went into his sister's room sitting on her bed. With his face in his hands he started to sob loudly. After Will was done crying he got up and took a drive.Driving not knowing where, he ended up at the abandoned building 40 minutes later, where he used to meet the blue eyed man at. Walking in the building and up the stairs Will saw the same door Tris was talking about where she time traveled back in time. Approaching and opening the door Will stepped inside with his phone flashlight. Going deeper into the dark room all of a sudden Will got dizzy and fainted. Will woke up by his car outside the building. Checking his phone he saw that it was no longer August 20th but January 1st, 2023. Quickly getting in the car he drove off:
"I promise I will find my way back to you"
