Theme: Fluff

Shinobu collapsed onto the ground, tired. But at least she'd finally finished her mission. She attempted to stand up but her body wouldn't cooporate. She was exhausted. The demon had left her pretty injured. She'd been distracted, which was not a good thing. How could she let this happen? She'd been so focused on other things, she forgot to pay close attention to the demon's powers and got herself severly hurt. She limped forward, pushing herself up, only to fall back down. As she walked—or, more like, crawled—back home, she took the time to look around. It was almost dawn, but demons could still be anywhere. Although she had no idea how she would gain the strength to fight back. She grew closer to her mansion, finding the energy to move forward. But as she got to the door, her body collapsed onto the step, and she fell, feeling useless. She would've stayed there for hours if Giyuu hadn't come around, finding her there. He looked alright, but his arm was hurt. Not too much, from what she could see. She didn't want to be seen in such a vulnerable state by Giyuu, of all people, but she had no choice other than to call out his name meekly. He turned from where he was talking and noticed her, somewhere inbetween the plants. He walked over and bent down.

"Kocho..? What happened to you?" he murmured, picking her up with his good arm. "Are you hurt?"

"No shit..." Shinobu rolled her eyes. "Get me inside, will you?" she asked. She hated asking him for help, but she really didn't have a choice.

"Mm, okay," Giyuu said, without another thought. He carried her in, making sure to not push on any of the apparent injuries. "What happened?" he repeated, as he found his way around the estate.

"Demon.."

"Kizuki?"

"No."

"Then how?"

"Distracted."

"Ah."

He decided not to comment further on this, fearing that if he did, she would snap and break her neck or something. So he continued walking until he found Aoi who quickly escorted him to a room where he could lay Shinobu down.

"How do you feel?" Giyuu asked, looking sincerely worried.

"Shitty."

"Oh."

"None of my wounds are really deep, but they did bleed a lot, throughout the time." Shinobu shifted slightly, then flinched. "It fucking hurts."

Giyuu sighed. "You should be more careful, Kocho." He looked away.

"Yeah, I know." She looked irritated. "And.. I was but.. You know.." she mumbled.

"Distractions. They could get you killed. This isn't like a game, you know what you signed up for, so act like you know how to act, because you aren't going to achieve anything but failure if you let your mind wander elsewhere."

It was perhaps the most he had ever said to her at once. And it had to be advice. But.. he was right. She'd been too careless.

"Mm. I'll keep that in mind." She huffed. "You can leave now. You don't have to stay here," she pointed out.

"Yes but.. you always help me. Can't I do it in return? Just.. let me help you," he looked somewhat solemn.

"Your arm is injured."

"Not much. I just came here to get it checked, but otherwise it's fine."

"You should go to Aoi and get yourself healed. You can leave after. It's not an obligation to stay here with me."
