Theme: Angsty floof? (the angst is slight tho)

Note: SaneGiyuu are already dating

Iguro likes Sanemi but pretends he likes Mitsuri to drive suspicion away from him
Mitsuri knows that Obanai doesn't actually like her-

Sanemi has seen Obanai's scar be4

Don't hate Giyuu he didn't do anything wrong.

I love how some1 told me today that I could never write anything but angst for SaneGiyuu and I told them I would prove them wrong but then I went ahead and wrote this (it was in my drafts) 💀
I'll write fluff in a bit

"Sanemi?"

Giyuu and Sanemi sat, side by side, on the porch of Giyuu's house, eating. They had been training for an hour or two and had decided to take a break before continuing.

"Yes, what is it?" he asked, turning to his boyfriend. He gave him a gentle smile, reaching up to tuck Giyuu's hair back.

Giyuu raised a hand, stopping him. Sanemi frowned. "Are you alright?"

Giyuu nodded, though he turned his gaze away from him. "I need to tell you something."

Sanemi's worry deepened. "What happened?"

Giyuu bit his lip, turning away. He held onto his plate tightly, blinking several times. "I... want to break up with you."

An awkward silence stretched between the two as Sanemi processed this.

"What?"

Giyuu turned back, shaking his head so his hair grew messy. "I'm sorry. I just... I really loved you before—truly, I did, please believe that—but I just... fell... out? Of love? I care for you lots, I do, but I... not how... before," he mumbled, dropping his plate down to the porch. "I'm sorry."

Sanemi's eyes were wide but they softened at the end of the explanation, though he backed away slightly. "Don't apologize. It happens," he murmured.

Giyuu moved as if to reach for Sanemi's hands, but then thought better of it and dropped his arms to his side. "I'm sorry," he repeated. "I'm so, so sorry. I did love you! I promise! I just... stopped, at some point. It was recently, it wasn't for a long time, okay? But I was thinking about it and realized I just... I don't know, I don't feel the same as I did before. And I'm sorry, for saying this so suddenly, and-"

"Giyuu. It's okay." Sanemi crossed his arms. "Stop apologizing, I get it. Thank you for telling me and not staying in the relationship for longer. It would've been shitty of you to lead me on, so it's fine."

Giyuu pouted. "No! I'm sorry that I stopped loving you. I care so much about you, I don't know what happened..."

Sanemi moved forward and slapped him. "See, your problem is you're so stubborn," he said. It was something he teased Giyuu about relentlessly, but there was a serious tone to his voice. "I said it's okay! It's fine. It's only natural, it happens to everyone. It's okay."

Giyuu covered his cheek where Sanemi had hit him and nodded meekly. "Okay..." he mumbled. I'm so- I mean, alright."

Sanemi rolled his eyes. "Will you ever stop apologizing?"

"It's instinctive," Giyuu said, huffing.

"Mhm. I've got to go now. I'll see you around," Sanemi said, grabbing his things. He didn't actually have to go. He just wanted some space.

Giyuu, seeming to notice that, nodded. "Alright. Take care," he said, waving as Sanemi left.

"You too."
