As soon as I woke up, I immediately smelled a tasty breakfast coming from the kitchen. Wala sana akong balak tumayo dahil gusto ko lang matulog buong maghapon, but because I have to work I have to force myself to get up.
I care for you, okay?
Uh! Halos hindi ako nakatulog kagabi dahil sa sinabi niya. He took care of my hand last night. Does he really care or does he just feel guilty? Whatever.
"What are you doing?" My eyes widened when I saw Lorenzo cooking in the kitchen. Based on the smell it's a mushroom soup, he cooks mushroom soup perfectly, that's his forte.
"Cooking?" pilosopo niyang sagot.
Napairap nalang ako't akmang babalik na sa kwarto nang tawagin niya ako. I stopped to face him curiously.
"Maupo ka muna. Ako na maghahatid sa'yo mamaya." parang pinompyang ang tainga ko sa narinig ko mula sa kaniya.
It was like I heard a sacred message from heaven. But I immediately neglected the idea of him being good to me, he just felt guilty, that's all Catherine. Don't assume.
I scoffed. "Seriously? May sakit ka ba? No thanks, I can drive." I walked slowly to my room hoping that he would stop me but he didn't. Siguro'y ayaw niya akong pilitin.
Tsk. Wala ka talagang pakiramdam!
I took shower and changed my clothes to get ready for work. Paglabas ko ng kwarto ay halos humiwalay ang kaluluwa ko sa katawan ko sa gulat ng makita siyang nakaupo sa sala. Palagi siyang nauuna sa akin at ni minsan hindi kami nagpang-abot bago pumasok sa trabaho, so I was shocked to see him sitting on the couch!
"Why are you still here?" I curiously asked him.
"Let's go." he stood up and took my bag from my hand. Hindi ako nakaalma sa bilis ng ginawa niya. What's wrong with him today?
"Hey!" Hinabol ko siya palabas at sinabayan sa paglakad. "Lorenzo, I'm serious. You don't have to do this." saad ko nang makasakay na kami sa elevator.
"And what, Catherine? You're gonna make me look like a cruel husband to you." he seriously said.
"Hindi ba?" I sarcastically said.
