"I can't believe I witnessed that!" I exclaimed while cleaning the wound on his cheeks. "Paano nila nagawa sayo 'to? I'm so pissed!"

"Cath, calm down. Dumidiin." aniya't hinawakan ang kamay ko upang kontrolin.

Tumikhim ako't itinigil ang paggamot sa sugat niya. "Bakit hindi mo man lang ipinagtanggol ang sarili mo? You should've just said that it wasn't your choice!"

"I don't need to explain myself to them, Cath. If they wanted to know the truth, they should've asked me. But I guess that wasn't their intention in the first place." he explained while putting an ice pack on his cheeks.

I rolled my eyes. "I can't believe they did that to you! And the fact that we'll be living in the same subdivision with them! It's absurd!"

I glanced at him when I noticed that he was just staring at me, smiling like an idiot.

"What?!" singhal ko sa kanya.

"You're so beautiful." he suddenly said.

"Are you serious? Kung nagbibiro ka, please lang huwag ngayon. I'm not in the mood..." I rolled my eyes.

Inabot niya ang kamay ko't hinila ako paupo sa tabi niya. "Stop thinking about them. They're not worth of your time. Hindi ko naman ikamamatay kapag wala na sila sa buhay ko."

"Right! Dapat lang, you still have Claudio! Your friends in your firm. Marami ka pang kaibigan diyan!" I hissed. "And they are way better than those assholes!"

He looked at me straight into my eyes. "And I have you, right?"

I stopped when I heard what he said. I suddenly realized that he will always have me. Even when the world turned back against him, he had me who would give a whole new world for him.

I slowly nodded. "I might hate you sometimes. But you have me." Always.

"Why do you hate me?" he laughed.

"Because you're so stubborn! You always act on your own! You're selfish!" inis kong saad. "You don't care if the people around you will worry about you."

"Is this about what happened to me?" he asked.
