*TW: eating disorder*
EVIE
*2 years later*
'It's been two years since anyone has seen or heard from Princess Eloise."
"That's right David. I have to say as a person who follows her YouTube channel, it's been a bit weird not having her upload for two years!"
"Right Megan! Many people say she's gone missing. Lots are saying this is good for her brother since they both are up for the crown at the end of the summer. Do you think she'll come back soon?"
"Ahh, I hope so David, because I can't bake to save my life and..."
My mom snatches the remote from my sister and turns the television off. I listen to my sister grumble and complain about the tv getting turned off, but what did she expect? Both of our parents work close to the royal family. I'm sure they're tired of hearing about the 'missing' princess. I know I'm tired of hearing it, although I am a bit curious as to what happened to her.
"My god Verena. Do you always have to have that stupid gossip channel on? I'm sure your sister doesn't want to hear that." I imagine she has her hands on her hips and glares playfully at my sister since I'm not looking up from my book.
"Mom please, she always has her nose stuffed in a book. I doubt she was even paying attention." I hear Mom smack her arm and a smile slips on my face. "No offense Evie baby"
I slam my book shut and place it on the coffee table before jumping up and glaring at my sister. "Offense is taken, V! Maybe if you knew how to read you could understand why I love books so much." I stick my tongue out at her as she gasps and tackles me to the couch.
We fall into a fit of laughter and eventually calm down enough for Mom to tell her to meet us in the kitchen to help with dinner. I take my place sitting on the counter next to the stove as my mom smiles at me. My sister shuffles through a bunch of cookbooks my mom and grandmother put together over the years.
"Whose night is it Mom?" My sister mumbles from the other side of the kitchen island. My mom ignores her and keeps pulling ingredients from the fridge. My mom is so pretty, everyone tells me I look just like her. We have the same almond eye shape, black curly hair, hazel eyes, the same attitude, and bunny teeth as she likes to call them. She always tells me in a past life she and I were probably twins, but I tell her it's just because she gave birth to me.
"It's sugars night." She finally says after she closes the fridge. A smile makes its way onto my face after hearing what she said. I love sugars night when it's time for dinner. If you don't know, sugar is my brother Bryar. We gave him the nickname because when he came out to us, he did it by walking into the living room and stating how he had sugar in his tank then told us he had a boyfriend and then left to go on a date with him. We all stared at each other before they all handed me my bet money. I told them he would come out in a way that was out of the blue and random but they swore he wouldn't. Maybe next time they'll listen to me. Speaking of Bryar and his boyfriend, they both walk into the kitchen holding hands.
"Hi, sugar!" I smile at him and he grins before pushing Vincent to sit down next to my sister on the island. "What's on the menu?" He makes his way over to my mom and begins flipping through his cookbook. My mom made us all different cookbooks of food we all liked and loved so that when it was our day to choose we won't have to take forever to decide what to eat.
"Tonight we are having grilled chicken spring rolls and mom's veggie pasta salad." He glances over at me quickly, probably to scan my face to see if it disagrees with what he said. Everyone stays silent as they watch me, waiting for a reaction. My empty stomach grumbles with hunger and my sister grins.
