Evie Pov

I'm currently sitting in the living room with my parents, my aunt, and her husband. I decided that since I got the pep talk today that I'd go ahead and have the talk. It's killing me inside and my anxiety is already shooting through the roof. My parents are sitting and talking quietly to my aunt before she turns to me with a soft smile.

"Evie, what I did to you it wasn't the right way to go about things. I shouldn't have-" I hold up my hand to stop her from trying to form some kind of apology.

"I'm sure you're very sorry. I mean it's what you wrote in your letters and told my parents for years after what happened." I sigh and rub my hands against my thighs. "What you did really hurt me and I suffered for years trying to recover. Hell, I'm still suffering now." I look up at her and she frowns before looking at her lap.

"I can barely try new foods, or eat at different restaurants like everyone else. It's like I'm stuck in this ongoing cycle and the only time I can change it is when like once a month when I finally work up the courage to try something new." I sniffle and quickly wipe my face before looking up at her and my parents. "I forgive you for what you did, but I can't forget it no matter how much I try. And it was shitty of you guys not to tell me that she was coming." I stand up and glance at my aunt.

"If I were you, I wouldn't forget either. Thank you for at least finding the heart to forgive me." She smiles up at me with tears in her eyes. "I promise I'll be the best aunt you ever had."

I squeeze my fingers together and nod. "You're my only aunt so do your best, but I won't hold my breath." Her smile gets wider as she nods at me. "If you'll excuse me I have sand in places it shouldn't be." I quickly leave the living room before any more heartfelt stuff happens.

"You wanna do what?!" I smack her boob as I make a left turn. It's sister day and I decided the last thing we need to do is get our hair done before heading to dinner. Verena is freaking out because I want to dye my hair. I've never done it before.

"I just feel like honey-blonde will look better on me than my natural hair color." I pull into a parking space before turning to her. We stare at each other for a while before I grab my purse and toss her the keys as I get out.

Verena rushes beside me as we walk into the salon. "I'm just saying, it's such a random thing to do coming from you. Is your girlfriend putting you up to this?" She eyes me as we take our seats in separate chairs.

"Nooo, she doesn't even know I'm doing this." As soon as I finish my sentence my phone rings and guess who it is. Eloise.

"Hi," I answer. I don't hold the phone close to my ear as my hair soaks up the dye. "How can I help you today?" She scoffs before clearing her throat.

"I'd like to see you today. You know it's been 24 hours since I last saw you? And a whole week, since I last, touched you?" Eloise groans, and I imagine her slouching. "I'm dying here, Evie. I can't live like this."

I laugh and shake my head. "You seem fine honestly. Weren't you just photographed with your family at brunch today?" I smile as the lady motions for me to move over to the sink to get my hair rinsed out. "Listen, I'll call you back later. I'm a bit held up right now."

She sighs deeply before answering. "Well, okay. I miss you." I smile and shake my head. She can be such a baby sometimes. I love it though.

"I miss you too Princess. Later!" I quickly hang up so I can get my hair finished. It takes a couple of hours to get my hair as cute as I want it. By that I mean my sister and I argued about how I should do my hair and at the end of the argument I settled for a simple silk press. Which looks really good since I have bangs. Verena got a simple silk press but chopped off hair her hair, now she has a bob that looks good.
