Evie Pov
A couple of days later Olive and I stand outside of our favorite restaurant for our weekly date night. It's nice that we have these. It helps us catch up but also prioritizes our friendship. Over the years it's helped a lot especially with me trying to eat more food again but we all know how that goes. We're wearing matching silk dresses just in different colors. Liv loves to match and I agree mainly because never knows what to wear.
"So let me get this right." She steps closer to me and grabs my shoulders. "You went on a date with her, had CRAZY sexual tension, AND when you two were on Facetime she told you that you had a nice rack and you're telling me that you two are just friends?" She tilts her head back and groans loudly before stepping away from me and punching the air.
Something is very fucking wrong with this girl. Remind me to tell her dad to get her tested.
"It WASN'T a date and there was no sexual tension." I grab her arm and yank her over to me as the hostess calls us to our table. We both begin to follow her to our booth, arms linked. "I mean did you forget the part where the cafe worker gave her number on a napkin?"
She groans and points her middle finger at me before sliding into her seat. I do the same and sit my purse next to me on the table. "I don't believe any of that. No one in their right mind would accept someone's number napkin, then walk back to sit with you and cuddle up and flirt with you." She snorts loudly and grabs the menu before looking around the restaurant.
"Liv," I groan and pout as a smile makes its way onto her face. "Ew, what's that look for?" I look in the same direction as her only to find Princess Eloise at the end of it sitting with her family.
"Stop staring, Liv. They're gonna think we're crazy." I open up the menu and try to focus on what I should eat for dinner.
"Babe, it's not hard to admit you have a crush on someone. It may be a rare thing but it does happen. Even to people like you." I lower my menu and glare hard at her.
"People like me?"
"Yes, an evil she-devil in the body of a sweet sweet girl." She smiles and winks at me.
"That's rich coming from someone who breaks into my bedroom all the time when she has a key just to throw water balloons at me." She laughs loudly and I reach across the table smacking her with my menu trying to shut her up but it only makes her laugh louder.
I smack her harder and she finally calms down. A blush covers my cheeks as I look around, mainly over to her table only to find her already looking at me. I quickly shove the menu directly in my face to try and hide.
"Actually I take that back." I lower the menu again and stare at Liv. "You're stupid, not evil. That menu isn't hiding you. She saw you the minute we walked past her table to get to our booth."
I groan and pout. "When we get home you're so sleeping on the couch."
"Dammit"
Eventually, we both settle down and order our food. Liv thankfully changes the subject to her and her little weekend getaway with Oliver. She showed me all the pictures of what they did and my heart swells with happiness. It's hard for Liv to let her guard down and allow someone to love her. She deserves the world.
"Here you girls go." The waitress places our food down and smiles before leaving. We quickly dig into our chicken pasta. When Olive and I eat together we talk before the food comes and then after, never while eating. We both love food.
"Mmmm after this we should go for ice cream at that place we like." Olive chugs the rest of her wine before agreeing with me. We both sit back and pat our stomachs. The waitress comes back to take our plates and chats lightly with Liv.
"Oh, can we have the bill?" I ask her while I reach into my purse to get my card. I reach out, handing it to her and she shakes her head before placing a folded note on the table.
"I was told to give this to you. You, ladies, have a nice night. Come again!" She smiles at us and walks off.
"How much do you wanna bet your girlfriend paid for our food and left you a note?" I glare up at her before opening the note and reading it.
"She isn't my girlfriend," I mumble, I feel my cheeks grow warm at the content of the note.
'Evie, I hope you don't mind me paying for the dinner. You look absolutely breathtaking, I couldn't keep my eyes off of you. <3 Eloise'
A smile makes its way onto my face and I quickly pass the note to my best friend who looks like she's ready to fly across the table to find out what has me so smiley.
"Oh if she didn't wanna fuck you before, she for sure does now." She passes the note back to me and I tuck it away in my purse.
"She doesn't want to fuck me. She just thought I looked pretty tonight. Friends complement each other." I glance over at her and she narrows her eyes at me while bringing her fist up and shaking it at me.
"I think you should run because I'm about to beat some sense into you." I flip her off before quickly walking outside. Liv catches up to me quickly and begins smacking my arms and telling me how stupid I am.
"She likes you. Why can't you see that?" She finally stops and places her hands on her hips. I roll my eyes and freeze when I spot Eloise looking in our direction. A smile tugs at her lips and she waves at me. I wave back and blush as Olive smirks before shaking her head at me.
"Maybe, I don't believe it because I'm not used to someone trying to pursue me and-"
"And actually being truthful about it? Yeah, I know but V, If she doesn't have full-blown feelings for you yet she defiantly has a crush on you and you have one on her." Olive sighs and links our arms and pulls me to walk beside her to get ice cream.
"Maybe when we see her tomorrow you can ask her about that cafe girl and where the napkin number went." I groan and try to pull away from her. "Stop! We're on a date ma'am anyway you can't tell me you aren't curious either."
