the summer had come to an end, sarah and john b were assumed to be dead. the pogues attempted to go on normally, the pain of the loss of their best friends constantly in the back of their minds.
it was the first day of school, el, pope, and jj collected stares from their classmates as they arrived at their school, they held their heads high all linking arms as they walked into class.
ellie tried to focus during her first period but her mind was numb, everything distracted her. an alert when off on her phone, she heard 3 other pings coming from other phones at the same time.
"guys this is a no phone zone!" their teacher reprimanded, not knowing specifically who's phone the notification came from. he returned back to the lesson and jj moved in closer to pope, ellie, and kie.
"did you guys get that too?" ellie asked.
all three quietly nodded in response, ellie flipped her phone over and unlocked it to reveal the message.
