Officer Down

It had been a long day for the officers of Mid-Willshiyer. Arrests were high and lots of cops were on their own.

Aaron and Lucy weren't riding together as Wade had requested them to ride alone today. A dumb decision really. Lucy was in s neighborhood looking out for a guy. There had been complaints of loud noises at a house in North Hollywoods neighborhood.
So she had told dispatch she would check it out. She heard a gunshot go off and she jumped out of her shop and grabbed her gun. Out of nowhere a guy ran out and saw the car. He started shooting at her. She fell back in pain while the guy ran off. She was out for a few seconds before coming back too and noticing the bullet wound in her stomach. She pushed her hand over the wound, wincing she grabbed the door handle on the door she had landed next too.

She got into her shop before radioing to dispatch to send another unit to her location. She slumped into the seat and relaxed. She prayed they would come soon and hopped it wouldn't just be one person. She couldn't leave the shop here. Gray would yell at her. Wether or not she got shot. She heard the sirens before she heard her friends voices. Nolan and his boot ran up to the shop. They both stopped when they saw Lucy sitting the holding a bullet wound.

"Lucy, hey look at me." Nolan grabbed her and made sure to get her into the front seat before telling his rookie to take the shop to the hospital. Alveraz started the shop and drove fast through traffic to the hospital. Doctors and nurses rushed out to get Lucy from the front seat.  Nolan had gotten there and waited in the waiting room with rookie. 20 minutes later it looked like the entire district was there. Gray, Lopez, Aaron, and Harper were all there. Gray told Tim that he would stay until he knew Lucy was good or until the sergeant came.

They were all still waiting 30 minutes when Tim and all of metro walked in. Their gear was still on as they made their way over to Gray. Metro looked concerned but also confused why they had rushed here after a big bust. Gray made his way to Tim.

"We haven't heard anything yet."

"Who found her?" Tim asked, his blue eyes held a concerned look. He hated the way he found out.

They were done with the bust and just about to leave when he got the call from Lopez.

"Hey what's up Ange?"

"Bad news. You need to get to the hospital."

"Did you have your baby? What happened?" Tim's worries brought the entire team around him as he tried to figure out what happened.

"We have an officer down. Tim it's Lucy." His face changed into anxiety and worry quickly. He grabbed his stuff and told his group he had to go to the hospital.

"We'll come with you. Your family now Bradford. Whatever happened we're gonna be there." His friend slapped his back and rushed the people with him into the van.

He stared at the Er door that Nolan said Lucy had gone through.

A Docter opened the door and walked out, looking at her clipboard.

"Lucy Chen." Uniforms stood up everywhere. Tim walked to the lady and she calmed him down before they took him back to her.

Lucy was laying down in the bed waiting to see her boyfriend come through the doors. She'd been staying awake but was feeling drowsy from the emergency surgery she had to have.

But she needed to make  sure that Tim didn't feel bad or guilty. She was hopeful that she could make him lay with her so she could sleep.

He gave her a small smile and walked toward her and gave her a hug.

"You scared me. Don't do that again."

"I'm sorry." Her voice shook, wincing at the deep mess of it.

"It's okay bug. Let's get you tucked in so you can sleep." She nodded before moving carefully over so he could lay down.

"Okay okay. Let me turn off the lights and I will lay with you." She smiled and gave him a smile. He laid down and held her so she could sleep.

His pretty girl.
