"Alright. I'm gonna test you on the plans in random order." Lockwood shut the door to their cab, Lucy doing the same on the other side after Daniel slid out. "Never know which one we'll need and when. And it's vital we can communicate quickly and clearly in as few words as possible."

"That's a good start. Took you about thirty words to explain what you're about to do." Lucy shot back, making Daniel laugh.

"Don't be facetious, Lucy. We really don't have time." Lockwood sighed.

"Oh come on, Locks. You've always got time to be facetious, let Lucy have a go." Daniel quipped, readjusting her kit bag so it was hanging on her shoulder rather than being held in her hand.

The brunet rolled his eyes, ignoring Daniel's comment. "Now, what's plan C?"

"Plan C means whoever isn't in combat makes a defensive circle."

"Plan E means you two fight the visitor and I find the source." Daniel smiled.

"Plan D is the other way around."

"Plan B is salt-bombs."

"Plan A is lavender water, and Plan F is Greek fire."

"Which should only ever be used indoors under carefully controlled circumstances." Daniel grumbled out in monotone, she was drained. She hadn't slept in the past two days and was ecstatic to get back to her pillowed bed to pass out. She had been tossing and turning the past nights, not able to fall asleep at all. She was still worried that Lockwood's intentions were to replace her, meaning this could very well be the job that would determine who he was keeping.

"Ten out of ten." Lockwood told the girls, slightly impressed with their back and forth.

"There were only six." Lucy bit back.

"Damn. I'll have to think of another four." Lockwood smiled.

"Thought you said there wasn't any time to be facetious."

"Well." He pulled his arm up, flexing his sleeve off his wrist. "We're slightly ahead of schedule." Lockwood and Lucy dropped their kit bags on the porch, the three stopping just at the door.

"Are you sure this is the right address?" Lucy asked.

Daniel looked down at her pink sticky note. "62 Sheen Road. Mrs. Hope."

"Quarter to six on the dot." Lockwood nodded, ringing the bell on the house. Lucy banged her fist on the door, waiting for some response. They saw a shadow pass through the stained glass. "Ah. Here she comes." Anthony fixed his tie, sniffling slightly.

"Are you from the agency?" The three turned around, looking at an elder woman who was stood just a little ways from them.

"Mrs. Hope?" Lockwood queried. The woman gave a subtle nod, smiling. "I'm Anthony Lockwood. These are my colleagues, Lucy Carlyle and Daniel Aiken. We've come about your problem. Do you care to show us inside?"

"Oh no, I won't step foot in there. Not since my husband passed. Not since. . .how he passed." Mrs. Hope replied. "The disturbances have been very persistent. I- I'm going to sell it, but it needs fixing first."

"That is exactly what we do." Lockwood told her.

"Locate the visitor, contain the source. A safe space means a satisfied customer."

"You rehearse that, Lucy?" Daniel whispered, looking over at the girl with a small grin.

"Shouldn't you have a supervisor?" The woman asked. "I- I thought an adult had to be present at an investigation."
