As I left the house, I felt incredibly disoriented. I was still turning the events of last night around in my brain. I could not believe we had just done what we had just done. I felt a little excited to see him again, and also a little on edge.
I got a weird feeling that I had just started something. Bad or good, it felt like something serious. I felt especially conscious of the mark on my neck and the sweatshirt Bangchan had given me.
When I got back to my dorm, I was surprised to see Seungmin awake, sitting at a paper-free desk. He was typing away, as usual, and looked back at me when he heard the door open. "You're back late, or early I guess."
I blinked at him, "Uh, yeah...how was studying? You weren't up all night we're you?" I carefully shut the door.
"Oh that? Yeah it was fine. I even had time to clean up." He gestured widely with his hand in the general direction of the desk.
"Oookay..." I said and tentatively walked towards my side of the room, setting my phone down on my bed. "Is everything alright?"
"...yeah." Seungmin hesitated before answering me.
"Well, I'm going to change and head over to Felix's house to return his clothes, I'll stop by the showers on my way back alright?" I was creeped out by his odd behavior, I decided it was best to go about my routine and let him come to me when he wanted to.
"Sure." Seungmin stared at me until I left our dorm.
"Safe trip." He called simply down the stairs after me. It gave me a little chill.
What's up with him? He's being so weird. I thought as I left the room with a change of clothes in hand.
I walked through campus, past too many people for my comfort. Everyone was looking at me. It was weird, I hadn't really been bothered by marks my old partners had given me. But something about this symbolized the fact I was the submissive one in our relationship. I felt a combination of embarrassment and excitement, the ominous feeling from this morning had left.
I hurried to Felix's dorm, only to see a blonde guy with black rimmed glasses fumbling with a key in the lock. He must be Felix's roommate. He was wearing a black coat, and dark brown pants. He seemed like he knew his way around fashion, like Felix.
"Hey are you Felix's roommate?" I asked him as I got closer.
He jumped a bit at my voice, halting his vigorous key fumbling. His eyes spent a few seconds frantically analyzing me, before he blinked and took a step back.
"A-ah, um, you-" He started, but stopped mid sentence and shook his head.
"Do you need something h-here?" He said, finally looking me in the eyes.
"Yeah, I borrowed Felix's clothes last night, I came to give them back." I explained, his awkwardness was endearing, he was cute despite being taller than me.
"Oh, I was trying to get inside, could you help me?" He asked, clearly more comfortable conversing now.
"Sure I'll try." I took the key from his hand and with some effort opened the door.
"Here, I see why that was rough for you!" I exclaimed.
"Thank you so much! Here I'll welcome you inside." He stepped in front of me and opened the door fully, taking his shoes off along with his coat. Underneath he had a white t-shirt tucked into a chunky belt holding his pants up. He was wearing a few gold necklaces as well.
Definitely a fashion guy. No surprise he keeps their dorm so tidy. I wonder how old he is...
My thoughts trailed off as he set his key and phone on his desk and turned towards Felix's closet. "Feel free to put your clothes in there and use our bathroom to change, I'm sure he'll see where you put things when he comes home."
"Thank you, I'll do that...uh.." I prompted him to give his name.
"Jeongin." He finished my sentence on cue.
"Jeongin. It's nice to meet you." I said, I liked to make good impressions so I always tried to be polite.
"Nice to meet you as well, Changbin." Jeongin responded, smiling to reveal a similar face to Bangchan. It was cute.
All this endearment on his part almost made me miss how he knew my name. I hadn't introduced myself yet but somehow he already knew my name. I would have understood if it had been my last name, what with parents and all, but my first name? That was odd.
"How do you know my name?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.
"O-oh! Um, Felix mentioned you before." Jeongin looked surprised, but quickly recovered.
"Ah...makes sense..." I was still very skeptical, but he could very well be telling the truth. I'd rather not start arguing with him , things with Seungmin are enough to deal with today.
I made my way into the bathroom, changed out of the clothes Felix lent me, and into sweatpants and the sweatshirt Bangchan gave me. I felt like he was kind enough to lend it despite it having his name on it, I should at least wear it. I didn't like the attention it gave me, but I didn't want to be rude either.
When I came out of the bathroom I saw Jeongin sitting on the ground with his legs crossed by his bed, like he was waiting for me.
"You're going to keep wearing that?" Jeongin looked nervous, he was bouncing his leg. He pointed a finger at my shirt.
"This shirt?" I looked down at it and back at Jeongin. It was weird, why should he care what I wore, we don't know each other.
He nodded. And stared at it, a worried expression crossed his face.
"Yeah, it was a gift from someone..." I answered, trying to make my confusion obvious. Jeongin bit his lip nervously in response.
"Are you...interested in that person?" He asked.
I felt a bit annoyed. "So what if I am? Why do you care?" I crossed my arms.
"You...you should just be careful." Jeongin said quietly. He flitted his eyes back and forth, he bounced his leg faster.
I rolled my eyes, this guy annoyed me. He was all concerned in my buisness for no reason. I put Felix's clothes back and walked purposefully out of the apartment, not even bothering to say goodbye to Jeongin.
"What was his deal..." I grumbled, and made my way back to my dorm village so I could shower.

When I got back, Seungmin was gone. He must have gone out somewhere, it was odd he didn't mention it to me. I couldn't blame him though, he seemed like something was wrong, maybe his family contacted him?
I went over to my pinboard. I let my eyes scan the articles tacked on, remembering all the details. From the six victims, to their odd circumstances. Everything about the case was suspicious. The police reactions...the family statements...the fact a serial killer was never caught. I couldn't place my finger on exactly what happened.
The faces of all the victims tacked on my board stared at me. They begged me to find out what happened to them. They cried out at me. I felt memories wash over me. The combination of weird behavior from Seungmin and Jeongin. And the feeling from this morning. It put me on edge and I couldn't stop myself from being pulled back into the past.
Suddenly, I was once again standing outside the dilapidated school gym. In my dark green school uniform that matched the blooming leaves of spring.
I once again felt the wind on my skin and smelt the scent of new life. I saw my schoolmates playing volleyball inside, jumping and playing without a care. I saw everything just as it was the day the course of my life changed forever.
And just like six years ago, I smiled as I ran to join them.
