What do I do now, now that I know that he's dead. I could've ran in with my switch blade, but I didn't. He was definitely older than me and had a much bigger build so he could've killed me in a second. But what did he mean by 'Enough games.' This guy must be a psycho.

I stood up off of the ground and took a deep breath in. I have to find Finley again. But what about their group? They said that they weren't nice. Maybe I could convince them to let me join. Well, that's my plan for now.

My stomach rumbled. Maybe I should eat first. I definitely wouldn't find food in a hospital. I thought to myself.

I stepped out of the building and started to scavenge among the ruins of what was left.  All there was to find was a worn out backpack and a water bottle that still had some water in it. I mean, it could be better but it's a start. It's not gonna get any better than this.

The hunger starts to subside as I get more thirsty. There's enough food in the bag for at least a week at most.

I opened the bottle and took a drink. It's warm. I wish that it was cold, but still. I need to conserve the rest of the water if I want to make it out of this hell alive so I won't die of thirst.

I begin to hear noises, or rather, the lack of noises. There are no animals, no birds, nothing. It's as if the world stopped existing a long time ago. The lack of noise is causing me to hear things that aren't there.

While walking back to where Finley is, I see something dart in front of me. I leap back in a panic and almost run into the building beside me. I scan the area. Is someone following me?Am I losing my mind? No, there can't be anyone. I'm just being paranoid. I relax and take a few steps forward.

When I get to where Finley is, he's not here anymore.

I get anxious by the second.

"Finley! Where are you?"

I turn my head in every direction. They're nowhere to be found.

"Fin, you little-" I suddenly remembered that this isn't a time I should be raising my voice. Someone could hear. I shouldn't worry so much. Their gang probably came back, and they are probably searching for edible items too.

So, I decided to sit in the same spot Finley was in until they came back.

"It's a shame that the hotel didn't have much food." I heard a voice say.

"Yeah. I mean, you would think that they would have a lot of food."

"Yeah.. But they don't haha."

" I don't know why you're laughing, Finley."

"Sorry..."

I quickly jumped up as I heard a group of footsteps enter the same building I was in.

"God, I feel like I'm about to starve if I don't get something in my mouth." A boy said, grabbing the bag of food.

"Hey! Lenn you fatass! Save some for-" She paused and slowly looked over to me.

"Well, well. Who do we have here?"

"Uhm- I'm Oliver. I met Finley before you guys came in here."

"Are you Finley's boyfriend?" Lenn laughed and elbowed the other girl who was talking to me.

"What- No!? I don't know him.." Finley said with hesitation.

"What? Of course you do! You're the one who gave me this blade!" I quickly pulled the switchblade from my pocket and showed them.

"So, that's where your blade went, Finley."

"I... I don't know how he got that." Their eyes widened at me.
