"Okay, pretend this is going to be camp. You're either good at this, or you suck." Calum said as he continued talking and walking back and forth.
"Well that's my que. Bye bitches!" Grace said as she got the ball, threw it in the air, and kicked it causing it to go far. She then walked off. Biggest mistake ever.
"Hemmings, I know you did not just do that to me!" Calum yelled at her.
"Did you not see me?" She said as she turned around, with her hands on her hips.
"Oh yeah, well who's going to be your ride?" He asked her, voice echoing in the stadium that we're in.
"If you don't remember, I have a phone I can use. I'll just call Luke so he can come pick me up." She said, a smirk plastered on he face.
"You mean the phone that you gave to me before we came out here? Yeah nice try. Now get back here and go get that ball." He said, causing Grace's smirk to fade away. She slumped her shoulders and ran to get the ball and picked it up.
"Nope, dribble it."He called out. She huffed, put the ball down, and started dribbling it towards us. Once she was by my side, she stopped the ball and picked it up.
"Now, run a lap." He instructed.
"What the hell! Why?" She asked, clearly she doesn't know what she did wrong.
"I can answer that for you," I started, "When it comes to soccer, don't give Calum an attitude. He can make what was supposed to be a fun practice, into a deadly one, and we don't want that. If we give him an attitude he makes us run. Sometimes one lap, sometimes four laps. Depends on how much attitude we give him." I explained, sighing at the end.
"Ugh, okay, whatever." She said as she started running. I ran after her and started running with her.
"What are you doing?" She asked me, confused a bit.
"I'm running with you. I need the stretch before I play." I chuckled, causing her to chuckle as well.
"Is he always like this? Like, when it comes to soccer." She asked looking ahead.
"Yeah. He's really dedicated to it. You should appreciate it."
"Why? Does he have a past with it or what?" She joked around.
"Actually, he did. He left soccer for the band." I said.
"Can you tell me more?"
"Before the band, Calum and his family thought that soccer was going to be something that he'd do forever. Make it into a professional team, travel with them. But then he met the guys and they talked about that band. Calum was still playing soccer at the moment and got a chance to go to Brazil because of it. He took it. He went to Brazil for some time, but when he got back, he told his family that soccer wasn't something he wanted to do for the rest of his life."
"How did they react to it?"
"They were shocked and doubtful about it. Shocked because they were all positive that he was going to do that for the rest of his life. Doubtful because if the band didn't work, he'd have nothing. You see, you have to appreciate what you have and the people around you. You never know when you may lose them. Appreciate everything, even the small things." I said.
