Thirty-Four

"You know what? We're going somewhere. I'm not going to let you mope around a sticky bitch. Come on, lets go." Luke said as he got up from his seat on his couch and helped us up.

Grace and I were up and standing. Luke walked out of the house and towards his car and we followed. We got in the car and jumped in.

"Where exactly are we going?" I muttered, wiping the tear stains from my cheeks and hugged myself in the backseat.

"We're going to the mall." Luke smirked.
"What's so fun about a mall?" Grace asked from the passengers seat.
"It's not just any mall. There's laser tag, bowling, Pizza Hut, all kinds of stuff. You guys will love it." Luke said as he continued to drive.

After he said that, we all stayed quiet and listened to the radio.
"Here's the song that everyone's been asking for, Amnesia. There you have it folks. Hope you enjoy." The radio man spoke.

I drove by all the places we used to hang out getting wasted.
I thought about our last kis-

"Change it!" I screamed and rapidly, Grace changed it.
"Thank you." I muttered.

I'm still learning to love, just starting to crawl.
Say somethin-

"Change it." I muttered. Again, Grace changed it to another station.

Its been a long day, without you my friend and I'll tell you all about it when I see you aga-

"Change-"
"You know what," Luke turned off the radio, "Let's listen to my music." He got his phone out and pressed shuffle.

Don't fall, let me think it over.
How we gonna fix this, how we gonna undo all the pain.

I glared at Luke from behind. I guess he sensed it cause he turned the music off.
"Oh look, good thing we're here." Luke said as he scratched the back of his neck. I got out of the car and waited for them to get off.

"Can we go play laser tag first?" I quietly asked.
"Yeah sure! Do you want to be partners with Grace or me? Or do you want to play against us two?" Luke asked, trying his best to make me happy.

"Let's switch it up a bit. I want to be paired with Luke." I smiled.
"That's no fair! Both of you are really good at this and I suck." Grace pouted.
"Aw come on Grace! I bet you've improved since the last time we played." Luke said.

"Okay, I'm just doing this for you Lupe." Grace 'rolled her eyes', trying to act annoyed, but she ended up laughing.

"Okay, come on lets go." Luke said, 'annoyed' by us already.

"Honestly, I still think Grace cheated." Luke said as we ate our ice cream, swinging on the swings in the park. After losing to Grace in laser tag, she made us buy her some stuff. But we ended up getting bored so we went to a park nearby, getting ice cream on our way.

"How did I cheat? I was alone the whole game. Honestly, I think you guys let me win." Grace shrugged her shoulders.

"Hey, I know I'm nice, but I'm not nice to rats." I joked. That caused Luke to laugh and Grace to mock being hurt. She then leaned onto Luke's shoulder and fake cried, which caused me to laugh and smile.

"Hey you made her smile!" Luke said.
"Our plan worked!" Grace said, as her head shot up from his shoulders.
"What plan?" I confusedly asked.
"We planned on taking you places until you smiled. If you noticed, we didn't have to go far to accomplish that." Luke smiled.

"Thanks guys. I really owe you two." I said as I hugged both of them and took a bite of their ice cream.
"Hey, I didn't finish that." Luke pouted.
"Bitch I swear to god, touch my damn food again and my angel face comes off." Grace threatened.

"Hey Luke," I began, "What are we doing tomorrow? I mean, your next show isn't till after tomorrow." I asked as I kept eating my ice cream and kicked my feet in the air.

"The lads and I decided to spend it as an entire family." He said, looking at his ice cream as he ate it.
"Sounds chill!" Grace said.
"We should head home. It's getting dark." Luke said as he finished the last of his treat and got up. Grace and I did what he did and made our way towards the car.

As we were walking to the car, I spotted something on the road. It was moving and coming towards us. I ran to it and when I got closer, I noticed it was a baby cat. I cooed at the adorable kitten and picked it up, letting it lay in my arms. I ran towards Luke and Grace and showed them the kitten.

"Luke can we keep it?" I asked, passing it to Grace.
"Yes Luke, please?" She begged as well as she held the kitty towards him. At first, he wasn't so keen about it but then he held it and his expression changed from an unsure look to a 'aww I'm naming you Louis' look.

"Sure, but it'll be a problem since Ashton is allergic to cats." Luke said as he held it even more. We got in the car, he put the cat on his lap, and drove off once we were in the car and buckled up, one of his hands petting the cat and the other driving.

"We can keep it in another room. He'll stay with Lupe and I when we share rooms!" Grace suggested.
"Okay, just take good car of him. He's not a doll for you guys to be throwing out later when you guys get tired of it." Luke sternly said.

"Yes!"
"Fuck yeah!" We cheered.
"Lupe, language!"
"Sorry." I said shyly. We got home and Grace and I immediately got the cat out of Luke's hands and ran inside.

"We shall name him Louis!" I said.
"That's an adorable name. Hello Louis." Grace cooed and played with the kitten. The cat yawned and meowed at her.
"Awww." We said in unison.

"Girls, as much as you guys love this cat, you two have to go to sleep." Luke said.
"But why?" we whined.
"Cause tomorrow we're waking up really early so we can have all day to hang out." Luke sighed.

"Ugh."
"Okay." we said. Both of us said goodnight to Luke, the cat, his dad, and mom and headed to bed.
"I can't sleep." I muttered, after about an hour of lying in bed,as I flipped around on it.
"Me either. It's hot as well." Grace said as she shot up and fanned herself.

"Shut up," Luke muttered from the floor, "Go to bed."
"But Luke." I whined.
"We can't sleep. Plus, it's hot." Grace whined as well.
"Ugh, get up." Luke said as he got up from the floor, got some pillows and one blanket, and walked out of his room.

Grace and I followed him and we ended up in his backyard.
"What are we doing out here?" Grace asked.
"We," he started as he got in the trampoline, "are going to sleep on here." He continued as he started jumping on it.

Grace and I looked at each other, then ran towards the trampoline. We both got in, one by one, and jumped for a while. After a while, we ended up falling asleep.
