"Why aren't you dressed?"Olive had been in the middle of lighting a joint when she heard the irritated voice. She hadn't planned to go out, wishing to stay in and finish the show she'd started the night before. It seemed Kassie had other plans, her makeup done, wearing a dress that showed off every curve on her body.
"You seriously want me to go?" Olive asked, placing the joint between her lips and flicking the lighter until a flame ignited.
"Yes, Ethan literally said to you that you should come. It's gonna be big, I don't know why you'd want to miss it." Kassie had walked into the others closet as she spoke, going through her clothes until she found something she liked.
The bleached blonde rolled her eyes, "I think your brother will survive if I skip one party." She muttered, inhaling long enough that the smoke burned her throat.
"Ollie, please, I don't want to go alone. You said yesterday that you'd come." She pouted, holding up the dress that Olive had bought specifically for nights like tonight. The weather had finally been nice enough for her to wear it, spring preparing to turn to summer.
"You're so fucking lucky I love you." Olive grumbled, pushing herself from the bed with the joint between her fingers. "Get the titos." She handed the joint over, trading it off for the dress as Kassie let out an excited squeal.
"Love you long time!" Kassie kissed her cheek, running out of the room to get the alcohol.
Olive took her time to undress, replacing her comfortable weekend clothes with the tight, black, dress. The tattoos that scattered over her body complimented it perfectly, allowing her to admire herself in the mirror. She left her hair in the messy braids she'd done that morning. Her makeup from work had still been on, only applying a bit of lip gloss.
"You're so fucking hot." Kassie said as she walked into the room, holding the bottle in her hands.
"So are you." Olive turned around, pressing fresh lipstick to her best friends cheek. "Thank you." She took bottle and joint as she pulled back.
"Cameron said he'll pick us up in twenty."
—
The frat had been packed, from the front to the back, there wasn't a single spot that hadn't been taken by an intoxicated student. Olive was fortunate for her buzz, the mix of weed and hard liquor taking over her system. If she were to walk in sober, she may have walked out in a second.
She let Kassie guide her through the house, making their way to the back where there'd been more moving room. Most faces she hadn't seen before, but the university was big and the frat had gotten around, spreading the word of the party.
It was the end of the year, everyone getting ready to head home for the summer. But they couldn't go without a good send off.
"Ollie! Ollie! Olive!" The voice was slurred, high pitched compared to the usual deepness of it.
"Easy E!" Olive called back, waving to the hockey player.
"You came! She came!" Ethan exclaimed, turning to his sister. "Do you guys want—"
He was interrupted by cheers, the beer pong table surrounded more than usual. Sorority girls and most of the hockey team had been impressed by whoever had been at the table.
"Oh, wait! C'mon, the pong queen has to meet the new champ!" Ethan took both their wrists, dragging them over to the table. He wedged their way through, until Estapa had saw them.
"Kas! Ollie!" Olive smiled, but her sights were set on the dirty blond curls, the boyish smile and flushed cheeks. "Yo, Oliver cat, stop staring, it's not nice." Mark laughed, shaking her shoulder and breaking her attention.
