"Where's the beach!" Olive shouted out in a fit of laughter, her arms wrapped around Jacks shoulders as he held her on his back. The team had a few days off and Olive had to leave for Michigan soon, so, they decided to go to Seaside after the girl begged over and over."Babe, it's literally right there." Jack pointed to the beach as they walked down the pier.
Olive gasped out dramatically, "we're breaking up." She lightly smacked his shoulder, letting herself down from his back.
"Why?" Jack knew she wasn't serious, instead, reaching for her hand.
"You don't know one of the most iconic Jersey Shore references." Olive retorted, swinging their hands between them.
"That shows so stupid." Jack huffed, earning a giggle from his girlfriend who nodded.
"That's the point, it's so stupid that it's good." Olive looked back behind them, hearing whispered giggles get closer. She smiled at the group of girls, leaning back into Jack.
"Wanna get ice cream?" Jack asked, the group going unnoticed to him.
"Yeah—" Olive stopped though, "I think they want a picture." She smiled to him, nodding to the group and Jack let out a sigh when he saw them. It's not that he didn't love his fans, its that he was trying to enjoy a date with his girlfriend without being interrupted.
"Hey." Jack waved to them, earning an array of nervous giggles.
"Hi! Can we get a picture with you guys?" One of them asked, her phone already pulled up to the camera.
"Both of us?" Olive asked, prepared to take of picture of them with Jack.
"Yeah! I love your music." The girl exclaimed, and Jack's face lit up with a smile. He couldn't help but squeeze her hand, watching as her face burned hot.
"You do?" Olive was surprised to hear this, having never met someone who claimed to be a fan asking for a picture with her.
"Of course!"
They got the pictures, Olive unable to stop her smile through it all. The girls had ran back towards the beach, all excitedly talking about the pictures.
Jack turned to Olive, resting a hand against her cheek and leaning down to kiss her forehead. It was such a simple and quick gesture but it had every butterfly fluttering in Olive's stomach as they proceeded towards the ice cream shop. Everything Jack did made her heart grow in size.
Life on the boardwalk livened as the sun went down. Rides lit up, drinks came out and the night felt young. The couple had wound up running into Jamie and Trevor, who left earlier in the day to go shopping. They were going back and forth from rides to stopping at concessions.
"You're gonna have to put it out when we go back down." Jack eyed his girlfriend, who lit a joint the second they got on the ferris wheel. Olive shrugged, inhaling the smoke and passing it to Trevor.
"Don't be a party pooper." Trevor retorted, leaning back with an arm over Jamie. "See, even Jimmy wants to smoke." He held out the joint for Jamie after hitting it, receiving a quiet 'thanks' in response.
"Besides, it's legal." Trevor added, but Jack looked to his girlfriend with a raised brow. "Well.. for us."
"I can't wait until I'm twenty-one." Olive groaned out, leaning against Jacks shoulder.
"Is Kassie really going out with Bolds?" Trevor asked, his eyes following Jamies hand as Jack took the joint.
"I think so, why? You jealous?" Olive teased, lightly kicking Trevors knee. The ride began to move again and Jack took a quick hit, passing it back to his girlfriend.
"I just thought.. nevermind." Trevor began to laugh, but Olive could tell it was fake.
"What is it, Z?" She asked, putting the joint out on the side of the cart.
"It doesn't matter." Trevor sat up as they got to the bottom, "I want lemonade."
